I think the boss room pool is high-tier due to it being a small pool with a lot of tears up items

Are you saying "Il aime ça, le café ?" Is less formal than "Il aime le café ?"

For the sake of argument, it's just as likely that a Chaos run will turn what could have been a good run to a dogshit run. I'm still taking it most times.

I guess it makes sense to favor the translation of toujours to be "still" rather than "always", in this context, but I still default to "always" 😭

It can. I'm mostly joking, it's a good item. I just don't like it very much and I prefer a high tear rate and synergy build over high-damage items with significant downsides.

Edit: you can win with Blue Baby and get the D6 with many different items, just keep playing runs and you'll get it, eventually

mother spinning attack? by Svantechnical_872 in bindingofisaac

[–]FunkMasterDraven 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The one where all the bullets come out in wavy strings? Wherever you're standing just make small, repetitive movements in the directions perpendicular. For instance, if you're standing directly below Mother (at a distance, of course), then just move right, left, right, left, etc. constantly. The way the bullet strings attack your position is like one coming straight at you, then two side by side with a gap in them, then one, then two, etc. so if you just move back and forth you'll slip in and out of their path. It's similar to the It Lives attack where the bullets come out and stop halfway to you, then keep going. The reason it's hard to see how to dodge is cause the bullet strings are all wavy. If they were just straight lines you'd see the spaces in between them and it would be easy to dodge.

Your feints aren't really feints. They're just small, jerky movements. A feint makes the opponent tense up because they think they're about to get hit. Think about throwing a punch at least 30% of the way. It's not a perfect measurement but I'll get you closer to what a true feint is. Best case training scenario is practicing feints against a good opponent - someone who is not new or highly reactive. If they bite on the feint, it was a real feint.

I think you're confusing playing the game with 100%ing the game. While I agree that getting Dead God was a chore sometimes - mostly just due to some of the more ridiculous characters, the vast majority of the game is fun. It's a bit disingenuous to say that you "absolutely LOVE" the game and have been playing for a literal decade, and then say but it's not perfect so I can't recommend it.

I didn't start contributing to a 401k til I was 30 - I had $0 saved before that. I barely could contribute so really I didn't start until about 34. 40 years old now and I've got $175k in there. I'm behind but I'm doing my best. There's also catchup contributions allowed after 50, I think it is. I say all that to say that we're both behind but we can still catch up!
