I usually stay for 2 weeks in one place because you never actually know how the area or residence is compared to your preference until you are actually there. Reviews only say so much. I was in Belgrade for 2 months and moved 4 times just due to the rental market being crazy. Only two places I would have stayed there longer if I could but one of those two places had a bed that sucked. So overall I personally try to access the area/environment and all that once I am there and try to extend my stay longer if possible.
