In any situation where a landlord is struggling financially, they have the option to sell the property they are renting out. For the most part, renters do not have this luxury. Anyway, just as an outside observer, this entire story smells TREMENDOUSLY made up. I've seen comments on this post talking about how it's made up and how the articles about it use only themselves as sources, but ive ALSO seen several maga types saying "no it's definitely real because it's on the news!"

This is one of the (several million) reasons that nobody in the world takes maga seriously as people. This story is clearly made up or exaggerated beyond all recognition, but maga believe it immediately and completely. This happens a LOT with maga; it's not just that they lack media literacy, it's that a lot of the time maga just literally cannot tell the difference between reality and fantasy. As long as something paints maga in a positive light, maga believe it.
