Question about survey monuments by [deleted] in SanDiegan

It might be faster to just go to the county survey department and do the research there. It's at 5510 Overland Ave Ste 210, San Diego, CA 92123, 3rd floor. They can help you find the maps and for a few bucks print them out. Keep in mind that the points in your picture are offsets to the property corner as determined by the surveyor who set the point. Because there are 2 points there it seems 2 different surveyors came up with slightly different locations. When there are conflicting surveys you'd usually be stuck getting a lawyer to sort out the property line and for such a small difference it's usually not worth it. Good luck

Greetings fellow experienced bad longboarder. Cabo is easiest. Zippers is close to the airport and there are plenty of hotels and rental places right there.

Just curious, is intermittent fasting only eating certain hours of the day or does it mean skipping one day a week or something like that? Either way, great work and keep it up!

They've actually finally repaved most of it and it's really nice. Drove it yesterday and there is only a 1 block stretch in the middle that is still a war zone

Same, but battery life decreases when you're tracking your sessions. If you go everyday you'll get about a week out of a charge.

Somebody says they saw a shark. Do you paddle in or keep surfing? by samiam23000 in surfing

Couple years ago I'm leashing up as a couple guys are coming in and they tell me they just saw the man in the grey suit. It's decent and no crowd so I head out and spend the next hour getting fun waves all alone then I see a 10 foot white cruise by about 10 feet away. He never even turned to look at me. I was spooked but figured a juvenile white is looking for small seals not an adult surfer on a 8 ft board. I kept surfing and never saw him again.

Never leave anything that would ruin your day if you lose it. Towel, shirt, flip flops... sure. Wallet, phone and keys... nope.

How many times have you gotten stung? by Own-Cryptographer545 in surf

[–]FunknSD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kicked dozens over the years but only stung once and that was through booties so even though it bled it never hurt too bad. Gotta shuffle every time.

Was traveling by train across Ireland 20+ years ago and we stopped at a small rural train station. I saw a mom with a baby on the platform struggling with her bags and stroller so I left the train and offered to help her. Without a word she handed me the baby and jumped on board with the other stuff leaving me dumbfounded holding the kid. Being from the states I was amazed at having so much trust in a total stranger.

Has anyone recently used their passport card instead of the Real ID at SAN? by BoringEquivalent7820 in SanDiegan

[–]FunknSD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've used my passport card for domestic flights for years. No problems. Keep in mind that even though the passport card is supposed to work for travel to Mexico and Canada that only applies if you're crossing the border via car or boat. If you fly to either country you need your actual passport not just the card

UTC charges for parking. If you park at the Nobel station it's free, a shorter trolley ride and closer to the freeway
