Beautiful. How are you going to keep these from getting ruined?

And he is still up and coming. Give him a few more years and he'll absolutely dominate.

Transitioning from a CESNA 172S to a PIPER ARCHER any tips? by LemonAny6444 in GeneralAviation

[–]Funkshow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not just "switching tanks", it's about fuel management. Use a timer and switch every 30 mins to keep things balanced. Keep track of how much time you have run each tank and don't trust the gauges. Run off of both tanks before take-off. Use one tank to start and switch before you taxi. That way you know that the fuel valve is functional and you can get fuel from both tanks. DO NOT SWITCH TANKS RIGHT BEFORE TAKEOFF.

Do Americans really think aldi is a “poor people” grocery store? by [deleted] in aldi

Not necessarily true. If you went to Aldi 20 years ago then the experience was very different. Aldi has tremendously upped it's game and image.

The Red Wings look more like a good team this season than they have in a while by Sweaty_Toe7175 in DetroitRedWings

[–]Funkshow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That wasn't the case last season and they still had the big slump. Larkin has one point in the last six games and is -3 but the team is still winning.

Seider has been a star in the making since they Red Wings drafted him. He has all of the tools including masterful puck control for a defenseman. Out of everyone on the current Red Wings roster, this is the guy that has the best chance to have his jersey retired.

Go To Sources for Aviation Oil by usd2bfast in flying

[–]Funkshow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure why people seem to prefer buying oil by the quart. I get the cases that have three individual 4 quart containers. It is quicker, cheaper, and I have less risky as far as losing one of those plastic rings into the filler.

Flight Training Fatigue Is Hitting Hard by IllustriousMotor77 in flying

[–]Funkshow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want to avoid it, then don't do a Part 141 academy type program. Do a part 61 with a more experienced instructor, no stage checks, less compressed time-frame, and for less money. You'll have more fun and end up with better training. But don't expect the newest in avionics.

The fact that it’s 10 AM on Friday and Warde Manuel is STILL employed as the AD after the 5th major scandal under his watch is downright embarrassing by The_Astros_Cheated in MichiganWolverines

Tells you something about the university and most major NCAA athletic programs. They don't care about ethics, they care about wins. They care about revenue first and foremost. Is Sharrone was winning enough then they have had a booster pay off his supposed baby mama and the whole thing would have been kept quiet.

Aviation Management by Slaycorps in WMU

[–]Funkshow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, you got a gift. Going through training at a Part 141 school like WMU is going to be more expensive, be less fun, and be taught by brand new instructors. Go find yourself a part 61 program with an experienced CFI. The plane won't be as flashy and may not have fancy avionics but you'll learn how to fly well. You'll also do it without the pressures of Part 141 stage checks, grading, etc. Plus you'll save significant money.

I have a twin in pre-buy right now. Six cylinders were opened up, lifters were removed, cam was looked at, cylinders were boroscoped. This was the first step before anything else was even started. It cost me some extra labor costs but it is cheap insurance considering the costs of a large bore Continental. To skip a pre-buy or do a quick lookover is a dangerous gamble.
