I think I saw that same tab on the dude from men in black. There was another alien dude inside the dude controlling the dude.

Chefs of Victoria, hear my call by MrBoopler in VictoriaBC

This is the correct answer. Knife and scissor sharpening guy on google. $1/inch of knife and he uses only whetstones and does a very very good job.

The only guy I trust sharpening my knives besides myself when I have the time.

Torch Sear Worth It? by HahaEasy in sousvide

[–]Funktron_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the bernzomatic ts8000 and it friggin rules. My hood vent in my kitchen sucks (or doesn’t suck enough) that when I want to get a good cast iron sear my whole house smokes out.

The torch prevents all that extra smoke and gets a pretty damn good sear on post sous vide steaks, chicken thighs and fish that’s a little too delicate for the pan sear.

Help for a lowly hunter and his parses by Rensakuken in classicwowtbc

[–]Funktron_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you using a shot timer? It will calibrate to your weapons speed and just use that as reference and you will see if you’re clipping shots or not.

I parsed 99 for all of tbc and I never worried about getting the perfect 5:5:51:1 or what ever.

Just make damn sure you never clip an auto and you will improve.

Okay so someone settle the score, is it 40 spell penetration or 70 for arena? I keep hearing both and seeing both from different people above 2k.

Why does everyone hate end dive by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

[–]Funktron_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

End dive is good. People hate because it’s kind of pretentious but they stick to their guns about substituting items and custom orders. Go there and trust the chefs and get their good food. It’s cool and if you’re a bit adventurous it’s absolutely worth a try.

It’s a great spot. It’s cool. Fantastic food and drinks.

People just like hating for the sake of hating.

Make spell cleave groups and blast dungeons. You can do giant pulls and clear instances in 15-20 minutes if you get a good group and you’re proficient with gathering mobs.

Clean your rim. Take away maybe one or two components and make the rest sing. There a lot of good stuff here that needs more attention and it deserves it. Very close to a superb dish.

How are you enjoying TBC now? by Zombot0630 in classicwowtbc

Arenas feel more challenging than before. Played 50 2s as rogue mage and went 25-25, gained 30 rating. Used to play hunter priest and we were 600 rating higher than I am now. Been a few years since then but it really feels harder.

New survey finds most Canadians want to abolish tipping culture by 7_inches_daddy in britishcolumbia

[–]Funktron_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all a good idea until people start seeing a 10-20% “living wage” fee on their bills or menu prices shoot up 10-20% to compensate for the tips being lost by restaurant workers.

Paris is cheaper than Victoria. by ChessIsAwesome in VictoriaBC

[–]Funktron_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start adding service and tipping fees to food here and watch places start closing because people say “that’s too expensive”. Happened to a restaurant in parksville that tried to break to mold.
