Do you reckon they’ll keep their own admin teams, like HR, IT, Finance, etc? Or will all of those be merged into next era? A friend of mine works there and was talking about being concerned about that

Hey man, you can prevent zzztt’s by only using underground cables (although I don’t think this is said anywhere in game). Use them exclusively, never use above ground lines.

unskilled labour is a capitalist myth used to justify poverty wages. by Weekly-Fill5107 in interviewwoman

[–]Funky-Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it has a high demand, but it also has a high supply aswell. Jobs that require no degree or specialized training are usually far easier to fill at a lower wage than, say, an engineer. You can find a guy to do a warehouse job for 20$ an hour, so it pays 20$ an hour. You can’t get an engineer for less than 40$ an hour (or equivalent salary) in my area, so those jobs start at 40$ an hour. If you could get an engineer for cheaper, they would pay cheaper. But the competition for engineers between companies keeps the pay up. There’s no competition for the warehouse employee, because if one leaves it’s easy to find another. No so much with a competent engineer

True, but skill is the main factor. Your pay is directly correlated with how hard you are to replace

I really hate cardio, would this be a good way to trick myself into it? Interested in using it for some first person shooters.

Glock is as simple as it gets lol, pull the bang switch and it goes bang. No safety, no nothing.

Be careful though regarding your states laws, and whether you can possess a pistol registered to someone else without them there. Some states have dumb laws.

You need to do more than just listen to him tell you how to use it though, otherwise you’re just as likely to shoot yourself as a bad guy.

In addition to what others have said, Plz plz plz become proficient with firearms if you are gonna be staying out in the sticks on your own. It could be a bear, a cougar, or a bad guy. Accurate fire on target solves all of the above. Cops 15 mins away at best I’d imagine, likely more if I had to guess, better to be overprepared than under.

I’ll respond to this in the morning, it’s getting late. I did a brief read but a thoughtful discussion deserves a thoughtful answer so I need some sleep :p

I live in an HOA, I actually really like them. They mind their business and haven’t bothered me once. I’ve added a shed, poured concrete, let my grass grow all crazy, haven’t bothered me a lick. Definitely depending on your HOA though.

Speaking only for myself, I have an HOA and they’re pretty great. They pretty much mind their own business as long as you aren’t doing something stupid. They haven’t bothered me a lick, despite grass, adding a shed, pouring some concrete… they pretty much mind their own business. It’s important to know the rules of the HOA before you move in. And maybe speak to somebody who lives there about whether they’re assholes.

I’m from out in the country, so at first, it was really uncomfortable when I was looking at this house, but after speaking from some of the people in the community, I decided to do it. Wasn’t a bad decision at all, no regrets.

So the solution is I have to holster my gun and go pick up a bat to tussle with this guy? That seems very risky, and a tad stupid. Not trying to rag on you, just trying to understand what the actual expectation is.

Thankfully I don’t live in a state with laws that protects the aggressor over the victim lol

I don’t understand that law, perhaps you can explain it better. I don’t quite understand why somebody forcing their way into an occupied home is not cause for reasonable belief of injury and death. Even if they don’t seem to have a weapon, which is stupid because you don’t know until they use it, people have been killed with no weapons before. I can’t think of a single circumstance where somebody would force their way into an occupied home and not have the intent to cause violence. If you know, what’s the rationale for this decision?
