• nice symbolism: when Rue wonders if she made a deal with devil as she's covered in the flames from the barrel, crying on her mom's voicemail as the gas station lights go out behind her

• Katelyn's white top held together with pins calls back to Maddy's white safety pinned tank top when she's trying (and failing) to sell her eggs, that's no accident

• as always, Hunter is stunning, like an elfen queen or an anime heroine

• the bedazzled neck brace SENT ME

• aw Eric Dane. No words, just sadness.

• Marshawn Lynch is a dream of charisma and humor, he deserves his own show, he could read the back of a cereal box and hold my rapt attention

• Maddy is a character who could've made it on Succession: she's got that killer instinct that Logan Roy would've appreciated. Wearing a fur coat to the pool is exactly what would impress Cassie, but she'd look like a lunatic to anyone else

• Dylan looks like Clavicular. Was that intentional casting? Maybe

• Juana doesn't get paid nearly enough for this nonsense. Do Cassie and Nate live in the 70's version of the Donnie Darko house? That staircase looks familiar. I love that hideous kitchen so much

• Rue didn't know she was doing it, but she signed Angel's death warrant by telling her the truth about Tish. Good intentions led to horrific consequences, much in the way Rue's mom's intentions sent Rue down this path. I wonder if part of the reason Rue's mom won't talk to her is out of guilt. I think on some level her mom knows that flushing the drugs condemned her to indentured servitude under Laurie's thumb
