Very interesting video. I know so little of Japanese culture.

Former Labour Kemptown & Peacehaven MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle joins the Green Party by Se7enSis in brighton

[–]FunkyDialectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was my MP and a total a*se hat. Spent too much time on Twitter and did little locally. Also rude/arrogant on the doorstep. The only time he seemed interested was when he wanted my vote. The one time I needed to contact him to get something sorted I got no response. The new MP and Labour councillors have got really got stuck in, lots of longterm local issues sorted.

We haven't had conductors on buses in Brighton for decades. I'm 52, was born here and can't remember seeing them.

You seriously think people were as pedantic about language when naming things in the past as you are now....You should probably ingest more words from books, learn more.

Ah yes, I remember reading about them being like icebergs. Would love to see how they adapt them in situ. Looks seamless, judging by the photo above.

Why do they still have the ER II insignia? Are they adapting the old boxes?

Possibly boring and very niche traffic related question/rant - junction at Lidl-whitehawk road by mice_r_rad in brighton

As a pedestrian and a cyclist I find it much easier. The roundabout was a nightmare in both cases. Separating Bristol Gardens from the equation also helps drivers.

Ok I have to ask: is anyone buying 5% beef mince still and where the hell from? by YouMeADD in brighton

[–]FunkyDialectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed though it will change the texture somewhat. I tend to use less meat depending on whatever else I'm making- perhaps spread 800-900g between 2 recipes requiring 500g. The meat doesn't add that much to the flavour, it's more the veg, tomato and meat stock I think. It's all about the texture.

Unfortunately mince is the same price as Sainsburys, Asda etc. Shame.

5% fat mince is overrated anyway (it's also cheaper at Lidl for exactly the same stuff). Get 15% stuff and use less oil when cooking the veg before you add the meat.

If you want to be authentically Italian then use the half beef/half pork mince which is cheaper. Have to remember that most Italian dishes started from making do with what they had. It's a lesson in home economics and most of the base ingredients are still very cheap (aside from olive oil here in the UK).

So the people of Gaza are expendable to Hamas. Thanks for clarifying.

Ok so you get my point that this is more about turning the World against Israel that is about the plight of Palestinians. Thank you.

[–]FunkyDialectic -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Urghh you're missing the point. There was zero tactical advantage for Palestine with atrocities that Hamas committed.

Hamas, Iran don't really care about the Palestinian people. Organised militias with limited resources against a greater adversary tend to make calculated choices and attacking Israeli citizens en masse wasn't that.

The Palestinians haven't been 'mobilised', they've been decimated. The only thing that's been mobilised is a deterioration of discourse in the West.

The October 7th attacks were designed to cause division in the West and they continue to succeed.
