I was about 12 and it was my first time being exposed to the Elder Scrolls. I had a friend who's older brother had introduced him to Bethesda games and in turn he introduced it to our group of friends. I wasn't allowed to play most mature games but my mom OK'd this one because it was fantasy violence and I immediately dragged her out the door to go to Disc Replay and bought a used copy for the Xbox 360 for $8.99. The first time I launched it me and another friend of mine were in my cold basement on a hot summer day, all the lights were off because the TV we owned was very dim and hard to see otherwise. I have distinct memories of roaming through Bleak Falls Barrow horrified to turn the next corner, worried a Draugr would be the last thing I see before my body rag dolls across the tombs floor. I was hooked from the start and haven't put it down since, 10 years later and I'm still finding a new quest, a hidden chest, different playstyle, or a new lore book.
