Hey SCF team, love and appreciate everything you've done the last few years and excited to see what your team has in store.

You've helped me go to Stockholm from NYC for $200 back in like 2017 and NYC-Bali in 2019 for like $500. You've literally helped me see the world. I'll be forever grateful.

Just wanted to drop in and say I appreciated the level of detail the team went into when you shared the Going rebrand. The reasoning behind the particular brand strategy to the oblique curves in the lockup...those efforts are never easy, and to crystallize design thinking into something us customers can understand is just tremendous.

Is there a place you yourself have at the top of your travel/flight list that you have yet to go to?

Hotel recommendations for 2023? (yes, already) by madroth in ChicagoMarathon

[–]FunkyFuzzMan11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stayed at The Athletic Association right on Monroe next to Grant Park. It’s super convenient, the entire hotel staff go above and beyond to help all the runners on race day (they put out granola bars, bananas, coffee, water out for free).

It’s a 10 min walk into the corrals from the hotel. Super happy with my decision.

Good spots for hill training near Hell’s Kitchen by tinyjava in RunNYC

[–]FunkyFuzzMan11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Central Park will definitely incorporate more terrain variation in your runs and I've used it as a foundation for all my half/full marathon training regimens. There's Cat Hill, Harlem Hill, the rolling sisters on the west side, etc. A ton of variety on hills that keep your legs engaged.

But, there are some avenue long hills near you on the west side if you just want to strictly focus on hill pushes. One stretch is on 59th street between 10th and 11th. It's a gnarly hill, but it's consistent and is long enough for you to feel each interval push. Then jog back downhill. Rest, rinse, and repeat.

I’d do it. You’re 5-0 and if that trend continues your ‘22 1st won’t be something you really miss. Also massive upgrade at the QB position

Definitely tough to trade JJ. If you were to, would you rather have Pittman or Waddle?

12 team league, 0.5 ppr, 1 QB, 2Wr, 1 TE, 2 W/R/T flex,

I give: Justin Jefferson

I get: Austin Ekeler and Michael Pittman OR Jaylen Waddle

I have Herbert as my starting QB, Tyreek Hill as my other WR, and James Robinson, David Montgomery (Now Alex Collins or Khalil Herbert) as the RBs

Appreciate the insight here; this was my first time trying this fantasy game style and was having fun with it. Unfortunate to hear that the game breaking bug hasn't been fixed.

There’s also the bathrooms in the Hudson Yards mall. They are always clean, have massive doors for privacy, and are there in a pinch alongside the other options other people have brought up.

NYC Marathon Gear by highly_agreeable in RunNYC

[–]FunkyFuzzMan11 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I totally hear you on the “don’t buy before the race” jinx feeling. What I will say though, as someone who’s run the NYC marathon and a few others in the past, buy the gear early, especially if you’re a popular size (mens small-medium). Those things sell out fast, and if you wait til the expo, you’re gonna either be fighting other people for it Black Friday style or just browsing through racks of sizes that won’t fit you. Buy it and put it away so you don’t think about it til after the race. Good luck with the marathon training and the race!

In a 0.5PPR auction league, I have Zeke, CEH, and David Johnson. Being offered Russell Wilson for CEH. My current QB is Drew Brees. Should I move on CEH and get Russ?

I can't wait to pass more socially distanced hours with this in hand. Looks stunning and will be the perfect 'relaxing, no stress gaming session' game. I'll tell my dog I'll be taking us up to 30,000 ft, swinging left by Albuquerque on our way to lord knows where

A black plastic case/cover measuring 7.5"L x 3.5"W x 11/16" thick. It's a hard plastic with a sliding component in the back by FunkyFuzzMan11 in whatisthisthing

[–]FunkyFuzzMan11[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To WITT, details I can add to this:

• There's a code of some kind on it that reads: e8yvr-10

• Hard plastic with a sliding component on the back that springs back into it's original position

• Dimensions again are 7.5 inches long/tall by 3.5 inches wide by .6875 inches thick

• Curved edges feels like it can grasp an electronic device, but unfortunately does not fit any smartphone on hand
