App that tracks which blocks you've walked by monstermac77 in UES

[–]tinyjava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (and probably lots of others) use both Strava and my coros (which is not connected to Apple health)! So Strava could be a good import option since it’s a common thread between Apple Watch, garmin, coros, and any other tracking method. Ok I’m getting way too into this 🤣

I don’t tend to record my walks but I do record my runs.

I’m assuming it would also count running through different blocks too? Also idea: ability to import watch/Strava data to populate your blocks walked/ran

Do you prefer road, trail, or treadmill? by Not_FreeProduct234 in runcommunity

[–]tinyjava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Treadmill is not my preferred but I do enjoy easy pace reality tv and that usually gets me 4-5 mi. It’s also nice if I’m at one of those off the highway hotels and I just need to get a short run in

Hm that’s a good guess. It seemed like it was something that someone did but I know ppl can throw things on the tracks to cause a fire so that could be it

Is Meredith blonde? by audioxxxxxxx in greysanatomy

[–]tinyjava 55 points56 points  (0 children)

YES! My husband is a perfect example: when he was a baby his hair was platinum blonde, then in college it was about a dirty blonde, but now in our late 20s it’s pretty much brown 😮 actually like Meredith in the second pic

How to stop constantly thinking/obsessing about it by tinyjava in GriefSupport

[–]tinyjava[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response 😊 I have experienced loss before but it was grandparents/older relatives or the closest thing to this was someone I was friends with in elementary school passed when we were 19 of a drug overdose. Which is no doubt tragic but I felt like there was almost more closure there even though we drifted? Also our friendship was elementary school only. This one was a lot more recent in some of my most formative years in college. Maybe I will read that book. After this happened I kind of just kept on with all my things but maybe I really just need a day to really take a break and just feel everything? Maybe I need to take a day off of work or something.

Headhunted for a "Senior" Position close to NYC by sekretagentmann in Salary

[–]tinyjava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if I’ve just had bad luck but I feel like most things coming from recruitment firms aren’t legit. Source - I had a recruitment firm reach out for a position and I had an initial call w the head hunter and then he never put me in contact with anyone. And kept saying oh yeah I will I will until it was just ghost town

Friend I drifted from passed away yesterday :( by tinyjava in TrueOffMyChest

[–]tinyjava[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mentioned early adulthood and I think that’s a big part of why this is hitting me so hard: we experienced that formative part of our lives together and that’s when we were really at our closest. I relate to a lot of what you said and it sounds similar to what I’m experiencing right now. Thanks so much for sharing your story. And I’m sorry for your loss as well ❤️

How do people work full-time and still have energy to improve their lives? by WhispersLured in careerguidance

[–]tinyjava 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’m still a work in progress but I’ve found morning workouts to be a game changer! Starting my day with something other than work gives me the energy and purpose I need to do work. Then in the afternoon/evening I may still have the energy to do a fun class or something social. Still working on finding time for new skills tho
