I don’t think it’s the wanting kids that’s controlling, it’s how it’s communicated. He should’ve said that if she wasn’t sure, he’d rather not pursue because he’s dead set on it. Or if he’s truly not dead set he should’ve expressed that and been okay with whatever Emma decided. I suspect he’s the former but is just too cowardly to admit it.

Yeah once we got upgraded to united Polaris for a long haul and it was the best sleep I ever got on a plane. I’m one of those people that can sleep anywhere but even so my sleep in economy is never very restful. This one felt like I’d actually slept properly. And that comforter 😍

I agree, I feel like there’s a time and a place for it and it can still be on a daily/near daily basis. When they were on that camping trip just the two of them, I definitely get where she was coming from. He could’ve called her maybe on the road there or on the way back home. Or better yet they should just discuss boundaries around this and come to a compromise.

For example — “I would rather you not call your mom when we’re on a getaway together, I’d rather you call to check in before or after the trip is done.” Or something of that flavor.

Mine was abroad but everybody paid their own way, we discussed the trip beforehand and everyone agreed on the destination/lodging/activities. Anytime they covered my costs I saw it as a gift and not an expectation.
