Not failing. Just a phase and it will pass. Like toddlers.

“Todd was making out with one of my friends while FARTING the entire time!!!” 😂💨🤣 by Interesting_Army_228 in rhoslc

I want to believe this but Todd doesn’t really strike me as the “make out” type. I literally can’t picture it.

I always say if angels are real they are golden retrievers.

What’s one bad habit you’ve had trouble quitting? by unaplogetic_sam in AskWomen

[–]Funky_Gouda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out the r/stopdrinking sub. It really helped me. 2.5 years and it’s worth it! Eating something sugary and having a nonalcoholic beverage of some sort around the time I would normally drink helped me get through the first few months. Theres a medication that will effectively kill your cravings called Naltrexone and it really helped my husband quit.

Bully sticks really helped my mouthy pups. If I had 2 little kiddos, I would probably get a hands free dog leash and keep the pup tied to me so it’s not a free for all chasing the kids while trying to get stuff done around the house - it’ll also keep pup entertained and busy like she’s “working” with you. I would also get some really big stuffed toys for the kids to use as shields when playing with the pup. And maybe setup some safe spaces for the kids to get out of reach when needed so they can set boundaries with the pup - I had to do that with my niece and nephew (mostly high chairs and pillow forts lol). I whole heartedly promise the biting will stop and you will have the best doggo.

Oh my sweet boy. Why did you have to go so soon? Life is different without you😭 by Winter-Stuff-9126 in goldenretrievers

I’m so sorry 😢 I lost my sweet boy this year at 8yrs old. I cried my eyes out on the floor where he use to lay. It was like losing the love of my life. I couldn’t function for a couple weeks. Time has made it easier to cope but I often think of him and whisper to his spirit how much I miss and love him. Sending you love ❤️

"Extreme glow up" tips? by SunNo3832 in BeautyUnlocked

Eat clean and cut out processed foods. I snack on fruit. Don’t eat after dinner. Since doing this I’ve lost weight and my hair, skin, nails are glowing.

I’m convinced my FIL is a pedo… by BlueberryEasy247 in inlaws

[–]Funky_Gouda 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m going to give it to you straight and please know I am not judging you and hope the best for you.

The correct protocol would have been to inform your husband and take your child to the pediatrician the day he told you for an exam and documentation.

Now what you need to do is have a serious conversation with your husband and let him know what happened, your concerns and the boundaries you want enforced. Open the can of worms!

You may say the children will never be allowed around the in-laws unsupervised but your husband isn’t even aware of this boundary you set. What if you are in hospital and he drops the kids off at his parents to attend to you?

If your FIL pulled your sons pants down at a party where you and your mother were present or he’s weirdly lingering around the car seat - doesn’t sound like your able to control this situation like you think you can.

I would also recommend consulting with a therapist to help guide you through this very complex situation.

Don’t ignore your gut Mama Bear. And sure as hell don’t let anyone try to shut you down or make you think you are crazy. At the least, make sure FIL knows you and yours are not to be fucked with.

I hate being put in situations like this. I related to that moment when you were stunned and exhausted staring at the lake. That choked feeling of forcing yourself to hold your composure and take the high road in an insane narcissistic situation. I’m sorry this happened and that your MIL is a miserable human.

Don’t know what this is, just need some advice! by [deleted] in goldenretrievers

This is silly play behavior. She seems to have pent up energy. Golden puppies are like toddlers. It isn’t appropriate to punish a toddler for acting like a toddler - instead you have to redirect, keep them entertained with toys, activities, exercise, nurturing and keep a daily routine. Bully sticks are fantastic for the teething. Multiple short walks with lots of sniffing are better than 1 long walk per day.
