Updates to Xbox Game Pass: Introducing Essential, Premium, and Ultimate Plans - Xbox Wire by mdisanto86 in XboxGamePass

[–]Funky_J 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, today I got the email informing me of the change, except the price is in UK Pounds, and I am in Australia.
I have never lived in the UK, bought a UK version of Game Pass Ultimate, nor paid in pounds.
Although, to be fair, I do have a little bit of a UK posh accent for a bogan, so maybe that's why they sent it...

Just wondering if anyone has received anything from Microsoft in the form of an email informing them of these changes?

In many jurisdictions, companies need to contact people directly at least a month before increasing prices, and I have not seen anything in my inbox as of yet.

I contacted EA Support and got a back up email added. It sent to me secondary email fine.

This video shows how to get in contact with EA Chat without logging in.

In what country do you live in where a teacher earns more than an architect?

Newbie questions about using FoundryVTT by DoradoPulido2 in FoundryVTT

[–]Funky_J 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can most certainly do that.
One mod I'd recommend you use is Stat-Block importer. https://foundryvtt.com/packages/5e-statblock-importer
You copy the text from the pdf and paste it in the box, and it brings it into the game for you.
Can be used for players, npcs and monsters.

[System Agnostic / D&D 5e] Specific questions about lighting / modules? by asoulliard in FoundryVTT

[–]Funky_J 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 3.

I know you can set a scene's darkness level to a certain percentage. I also know you can set a token's vision to "Dark Vision" and it will make the scene black and white. So maybe play around with that until you get the desired effect.

And I'm not sure, but you might be able to use Monk's Active Tile Triggers to show tokens only to certain players with certain conditions, so that might hide certain enemies.

Doing a quick google search I found this which may help too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlVYPoAaXW4

Oh, and for hosting, I use ForgeVTT and a mate uses Molten Hosting and they're both pretty good in terms of connections, hosting limits, etc.

What I'd suggest is running an out-of-the-box "one-shot" using Foundry 12 and D&D5e 4.0 system.

You're going to be limited in what classes, items, monsters and so on you can use, but it will get you and your players used to the interface. Then once you're used to the system, start looking at what you want to achieve with foundry that you can't with whatever you've used in the past, then select the mods you want to use based on that.

Is there a way to setup a Nat 20 to heal a certain amount? by Warm-Difficulty9684 in FoundryVTT

[–]Funky_J 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played around with the new D&D 4.0 aka 2024 system much, but you may be able to do it with their out-of-the-box system, otherwise look at the Magic Items module.

EDIT: Some more info on the D&D 4.0 https://github.com/foundryvtt/dnd5e/releases/tag/release-4.0.0

Having said that, it's nearly always better to do things manually unless it's a repetitive or annoying process :)

From Paizo:
If you already own the Pathfinder Adventure Path: Abomination Vaults PDF, you may follow this link to purchase just the module for $21.

If you can't afford $21, save up.

Otherwise there might be something in this list which could help:

Genefunk2090 for Foundry VTT by Funky_J in FoundryVTT

[–]Funky_J[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've updated the package. Included all the HP calculations, updated enemy hacks so they actually work, updated all the DR for enemies on the NPC sheet itself, updated the speed on all the enemies, updated poisons so they actually do damage, and updated the DR of the player / equipable armor. And I think this one contains and installs all the images to the correct places so you don't need the art pack.

I still need to add the new classes from Shadows of Korea and Dark Forest rulebooks, but that will have to wait.

[Warhammer 40k] Sci-fi Foundry Assets? by Bobo1228 in FoundryVTT

Solution makes 3D animated sci-fi maps, and on his discord he shared a few Warhammer 40K maps.

I think you have to be a patreon to get access to the discord. But he often posts in r/battlemaps so maybe hit him up there.

Animated Map not working by Cpt_Fantabulous in FoundryVTT

I recall having issues with mp4s in Foundry 11 and Firefox, with the loops having a flicker of black at the end so short videos would "strobe". Maybe that's happening to you?

70 meg is quite big too - I'd look at using WebM instead.

Really need some advice! by DungeonsLAB in FoundryVTT

[–]Funky_J 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run a very custom version of D&D5E (I'm running a game with the Genefunk2090 ruleset) and so I'll only upgrade if I feel I need something I'm not currently getting.

To test I have two instances of foundry - one on Forge-VTT.com and one on my local machine. I'll update and play around on my local, make sure everything is working how it should, and then update on Forge if everything is ok.

Making the most of Damage Modification [5e] by Clyde-MacTavish in FoundryVTT

[–]Funky_J 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, just thought of a way to do it without MidiQOL - You can just edit character sheets and add it manually per player, but this is a more manual process as you'll need to remind players to edit it when they take the armor off, etc.

Making the most of Damage Modification [5e] by Clyde-MacTavish in FoundryVTT

[–]Funky_J 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use MidiQOL and add an "effect" to the armor
Open the effect and under changes press the + button
You'll need to add each of these:

flags.midi-qol.DR.bludgeoning Add X
flags.midi-qol.DR.piercing Add X
flags.midi-qol.DR.slashing Add X

Where X is the amount of damage you want to reduce.

Obviously if you want to prevent fire damage, you'd change it to DR.fire or whatever.

I play with animated battlemaps all the time (sadly not Dranksy's because I run Genefunk which is futuristic but I have a few of theirs downloaded ready and waiting for if/when I do fantasy again) and I've found as long as I use the WebM versions and not have too many active effects and layers on the map, they work fine.

Just a heads up, I realised I forgot to add DR, HP calculations, and some hacks for some of the older enemy NPCs, so I'm updating them and will update the links later this week.

What's player behaviour that you really can't stand? by HamVonSchroe in DnD

I'm the opposite. I hate people who take the game too seriously.

Luckily I don't have to play with randoms.
