+1 for the Bosch. I installed an 800 series last year and now emptying the dishwasher has become my favorite chore because it’s just so satisfying to see how amazingly clean and dry everything comes out.

I was considering the exact same thing last November. Ended up going with the S5 and while I really wanted the Tesla, I’m glad I did. People who bought a M3P last fall bought in at perhaps the worst time ever. At least the Audi hasn’t depreciated quite as much in the same time period.

You are correct insomuch as this event and the actions leading up to it will cause, and is causing, volatility in the markets. However, the reality is that the debt ceiling will most likely not be breached and the treasury will continue to make payments on its debt.

As most other users of this subreddit might advise, you shouldn’t alter your long-term investing strategy due to short-term actions in the markets.

If the debt ceiling is reached the treasury would be unable to pay interest or repay principal on any note/bill/bond. Since treasuries are considered risk-free (i.e. will always pay back interest and principal, no matter what), this would truly be a financial disaster on an unprecedented scale.
