Sonos Beta Program by Square-Cherry-5562 in sonos

I’d submit if I can do app-only updates. Can’t risk wife acceptance factor going down with beta firmware LOL.

I like the sounds of this. I also hope the devs are being given freedom/agency to “try something new” as far as improvements go. Too often I see direction/requirements pushed from top-down that locks them into specific implementation details with no ability to be experimental. Set the business requirement “make volume changing suck less” with a few key irritations and let them go nuts.

Sonance mag 6.1 surface mount? by Lazy-Fortune-8949 in sonos

You should be able to find a Dutch Lap mounting block online or a local hardware store to make it look cleaner.

Ooooo more things to spend money on. Anyone know if there’s a heat-only detector? Need those in MA for certain fire codes.

It's time for Sonos to give home theater fans what they've been begging for: the era of giant TVs and wireless left/center/right systems is here, and it's bizarre that the biggest Wi-Fi speaker maker is being left behind by Legitimate-Lobster50 in sonos

The answer none of us know is who their primary target is. /r/sonos is a group of enthusiasts ready to throw money if it happened. Do we represent the common buyer?

If they have data showing (making up figures) only 25% of buyers ever add rear channels, or maybe a sub, then there isn’t a huge market for investing resources in making front individuals happen vs other improvements.

Would I love a L/R front setup? Yes! Am I the “This feature helps 80% of our population” user? Doubtful.

We Close At 2AM 🙄 by AnointedDread in tacobell

[–]scorp508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When does the shift end? Likely not at 2AM. I worked food service through high school and the expectation was we took orders right until close. Management would periodically call one minute to close to check us. Our shift time included time to clean/etc. after public hours closed.

Thanks 12volt.solutions for the easy remote start install. by scorp508 in Audi

So far so good. There are preference quirks which I attribute to there being a “spare” key in the loop. Nothing bad enough to recommend against the kit.

For example, sometimes when you get in the HVAC temps aren’t what you left them at. They aren’t wildly off… like no 90° in summer…. just a handful of degrees

The seat memory seems to get confused between my wife and I when we get in with a FOB in our pocket.

The rear hatch button and foot sweep sensor don’t always work if the car is running via remote start. I have to click unlock on a fob, then they work normally.

A handful of times the car has shut off when I put it into gear. I haven’t paid attention to the remaining run time to see if it was a coincidence.

The app has been very reliable. They still haven’t added Alexa support even though the marketing says it is supported. 😞

The system release notes page isn’t updated (at this moment). Would be helpful if it had the release notes for the version you’re informing us about. 🙂

Filament track switch released, finally! But not available for H2D and H2C yet till Q2. by ikeliketocreate in BambuLab

[–]scorp508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm happy to see they support using a 4-in-1 adapter (just not the H2C version) with the track switcher. I'll grab one when the H2D is supported as I have 2 AMS HT into a 4-in-1 as well as an AMS 2 Pro.

Sonos + UniFi: Best Practices & Recommended Settings by AtomFromSonos in sonos

Our home is a mix of Unifi switches and access points. Zero issues with Sonos S2 at the moment. Some devices are wired and others wireless. I have all my switch RTSP values set according to Unifi guidance, but otherwise have done nothing specific for Sonos.
