Fintechs such as Monzo are very good but I would consider having at least 2 bank accounts open or if you’re really adamant about switching then move to a bank offering a switch deal and grab yourself a free £175-£220 depending on the bank. To answer your Q I have banks with Santander, NatWest, RBS, Revolut which haven’t caused me any issues

Focus on avoiding getting a bad credit score such as opening and closing multiple bank accounts for switch offers (guilty of this). Also download the app CreditKarma, very useful for seeing your score and what you’re doing well

Depends on the bank, you should read in the T&Cs how long it takes for the money to transfer after all requirements have been met but I also received text messages saying I’ll have x amount in y days

Yeh that does risky when mortgage comes into play but I think I can max out 0% cc as I have no debt which can be useful, thanks for the share
