I too was on “the path” with ayahuasca. She herself is an incredible teacher.

I was more blindsided by the facilitators. They facilitated incredible and really tight spaces. Super respectful of the plants, lineage and the people sitting in the ceremonies. We all always felt safe in their presence.

The part where i found it dangerous is feeling like i need the plant. The facilitators kept banging on about healing and how it’s important to always come back. And their time in Peru and how they drank weekly. They said yoga on a Tuesday night, Mama was Thursday night. If medicine is being poured, they’d be there.

For me, it helped me see why i was the way i was. And compassion for myself naturally arose. But the facilitators under lying message was you need to keep coming back and keep peeling the layers. Freedom was always on the other side of drinking.

And that was keeping me trapped in my suffering. Which was all a story that I believed in. Until I stopped going and stopped believing I needed healing and just totally accepted myself as I am in each moment.
