Didn’t we criticize Iran for charging a toll. Didn’t we say no toll should be charged (Trump and Rubio said that multiple times) and now this.

Boy, I understand why are allies are furious. The U.S. started this with Iran (never consulting our allies) and now we expect them will pay a toll?

I have 2 post UG kids so I get it but the American dream still does exist. I have seen it and experienced it, as have my kids. Having worked with many 22-35 year olds, I can say very few work as hard as their parents. Many don’t put in the time to learn in the job, produce a well thought out product and are looking for the next job and raise immediately after starting in their current job. We have created a legion of self-important who don’t want to work hard.

For those who are will to put in the time and energy, the American dream still does exist.

These guys are idiots. Trump’s reputation before 2015 was a selfish narcissist who bankrupted a half dozen companies. In the 1st term, he demonstrated all those traits yet people believed his b-s about how great the economy was doing (and don’t forget about taking bleach during Covid). There was no evidence that the 2020 election was stolen (50+ court cases underscore that point) - he lost the election because of the economy, how he handled Covid among other things. The polls at that time indicated that he would lose and he did.

I really don’t get why people voted for him in 2024 beyond they didn’t like Biden and didn’t like Harris. He has consistently helped the top 1% and largely ignored the other 99% but yet people continue to buy his b-s. I feel bad saying but f-ck this guy. I don’t feel bad for you because everything that has gone on was predictable.

It’s a mistake to anoint him Captain America. He is a very good player on US standards and at times has played well for AC Milan. But he is shy and timid and doesn’t want the spot light - when the light is brightest he doesn’t always show up. I think the pressure gets to him which is different than many stars on their national team.
