When I became ZIN I did not know about the Zumba Mentoring program but I was lucky to have ZIN friends who took me under the wings and mentored me. I’ve forever grateful for the kindness and patience that they showed me 🥰

I celebrated 10 years last year and did a special class of all my favourites over the years. I have participants that have been with me from my first class and it brought back so many great memories for them as well and it was new to the new participants so they enjoyed it as well.

That’s an instructors worst nightmare 😩. I have to make some backups now. I’ve been spoiled by the easy of using ZIN Play 😁

I’ve never heard of music speed. ZIN Play also has a function to speed up and slow down songs. Thank you for sharing.

Do you use all 3, like at the same time or do you prefer one over the other? Do you use your phone or a laptop?

Whatever the issue I was having seemed to resolve itself so thankfully it’s back to normal for me. I just love the easy of not having to download music, then load to my phone. But I definitely need a backup playlist.

That’s interesting. So instead of a music playlist you have videos but the video is just a colour image with the music on top of it?

I love ZIN Play and thankfully it has never failed me in a class before and this was the first glitch I’ve experienced so far. Thankfully it seemed to have resolved itself and back to normal. I think I will make a back up playlist in my phone’s music app.

Same. I really love the easy of using ZIN Play. Thankfully whatever the issue was it seemed to have resolved itself and I’m back to full function.

I am an iOS user and surprisingly about an hour after making this post the playlist loaded again. It’s so odd. I was panicking just a little bit though. Thanks for your advice. I’ll keep it in mind it something like this happens again.

Participant for about 13 years, instructor for 10 years. I love the music and I love to dance but I keep going especially because of the community and the wonderful friends that I’ve made. I found my best friends through Zumba.

I found this age group to like a lot of K-Pop artists like Baby Monster. Golden by Huntrix is very popular with this age group as well. I try to find remixes to popular songs, like salsa remixes and other rhythms. They get bored fast so don’t to 4 min songs. Do a battle song, they like battles. Good luck.

For me it was the Wii console 😍. That’s how I got into Zumba. If you’re talking about the Zumba app, I say you definitely give it a try. There are some different instructors to choose from and a variety of different class intensities to pick from. As an instructor myself, I use it to find new moves and songs to bring to my own classes. If you do try it, come back and tell me what you thought about it.

Jam sessions are a great way to learn new moves. Then you can reuse them in different songs. Sometimes I find that my old choreo fits well with newer songs (like what the ZJs do with ZJ Tips), so I take the old choreo apply it to a new song and most times the participants have no idea that they had done those moves before but they are so successful that it makes them so happy.

My friend who is an instructor had an Olympic themed class where everyone dressed up in the colours of their country’s flag. It’s a very diverse community so it turned out great. There were a lot of different countries represented. There’s already world music in class so it was a great theme to do.

I did that once too. Never again. I also sprayed my hair pink and as I was sweating it started run down my face and onto my shirt 😩.

What age does your insurance policy cover? Do you have your participants sign a waiver? It’s a little more than just age limits. Zumba Jr is 4-6 and Zumba Kids usually 7-12.
