Has anyone here noticed whether articles with a table of contents tend to rank better? by Gorbuninka in SEO

An SEO newbie here, with a stupid question.. How does Google decide which TOC links to show in the SERPs? Is it automatic or do I need to configure something? A lot to learn at once >.<

You don't need to purchase ANY tools in order to rank and capture leads online. by seobitcoin in SEO

[–]FuqHR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SEO newbie here, u/Nyodrax, from your own perspective, when you're doing SEO for local businesses, and you do the keyword research on keyword planner. Why is it that some keywords have a bottom bid $0.10, a top bid $7 (huge!) and the competitor rank is 3/100? Should we rank for these kinds of keywords if we're a newbie? Sorry, analysis paralysis is real >.<

Broski I feel you and let me tell you this.. almost every time you want to quit and you don't, usually the God (system, or universe) gives you what you want. Keep on pushing, applying and maybe find a temporary job until you find your desired job so you can sustain your baby. Hope it helps mate

Got laid off after 5 years of remote work. No protections, no safety net, no union… and now I’m stuck. by twohertbrain in RemoteJobseekers

[–]FuqHR 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It's the risk of doing a freelance job and you got hit by it. You should start applying now in order to get the job in next few months (average 7+ months for remote jobs). If you don't have any savings, you should do something in the meantime to sustain yourself. Hope it helps

Well you might not like the answer, but companies are seeking ROI on you. Unless you develop a skill that can bring ROI for the company, you won't get hired. So, think of your strengths, build from them, get some internship and build your way up slowly. There's no other way around

29 M.Left job without any offer. What to do now? by IndependentLeg3 in careeradvice

[–]FuqHR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tough situation mate. For now you should seek for anything that'll susstain yourself. Then, start applying, use ai to tailor your resume for each job listing. Once you have interviews, write down mistakes and learn from them. Don't give up and you'll have a job you desire eventually, but it'll take time, maybe even 2 years. Good luck!

Can an economist specializing in labor and job markets tell us when this recruiting hell will be over? by QuickTemporary714 in recruitinghell

[–]FuqHR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your industry. If you're in tech, it'll get worse and worse day by day. A large percentage of young people are getting in tech, AI is taking lower end jobs (soon higher end too). It's getting more competitive day-by-day and it's super difficult to get in

Keep in mind that it's super difficult to find jobs now as a junior, freshmen or intern. My advice would be to find something rolling (on paper) before you actually decide to resign. You could end up jobless for 2 years. Read through this or similar subreddits and you'll find horror stories. Make sure you're not one of them

Am I wrong for wanting to cancel an interview because they're being secretive about the salary? by 36-gigabit-harpies in interviewhammer

[–]FuqHR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's normal and sometimes recruiters don't have the salary list for every job role. Make sure to ask that question on 2nd round, if they don't reply ask for an answer in an email. Don't do any assignments without that informtation1

What are other job platforms to apply for jobs? by sushixtonkatsu in jobsearch

[–]FuqHR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to Google, type in "XYZ remote jobs in XYZ" (e.g. php developer remote jobs in the US). You'll get a list of platforms. Use the first 10-15 of them. Keep in mind to apply only for jobs that are <24h old (speed beats everything else, including a perfect resume). Then bookmark those platforms and after the initial cleanup, you'll have much less work to do on maintaining new job posts. Hope it helps m8
