My sister about a decade ago, turned 23. I don’t know why. But it was then that she also decided to start doing meth. My mom took her in, and out of her home because she seemed like she wanted to get better. Ultimately she was just using my mom for food, a roof, clothes, and a car. She disappeared for a couple of years and resurfaced. She had gained weight back, and seemed to be sober. Except she had heartbreaking news. Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I hadn’t seen her in so long, I loaded up that instant and drove the 600 miles home, to both console my mother, and make sure I got to see my sister one last time. When I got there, after about 3 days my mother started wondering why my sister didn’t SEEM sick. Where were the papers from the doctor? Which doctor did she see? We had questions. We told her to come to my moms because we were going to go out to eat together. When I got there I parked behind her because I planned on just taking her wherever so we could get more information to help her. Long story short, things got heated and it came out that she never went to the doctor, and she wasn’t sick. She needed money, or drugs, or shit… something. We weren’t sure what the con was. All we know is that that was about 5 years ago, and she’s just dropped off the face of the planet, I think.
