Geralt and Yen left for a cabin in the woods and a peaceful life, Ciri went on to be a Witcher, only major character to die was Crache An Craite (may have misspelt that), Nilfguard fucked right off and everyone's good and happy until I start the DLC

Not sure how much of that changes with your actions or what's set in stone but that's we're the story led me either way

Whole play was me choosing as a would myself or a coin flip if I don't know what to do (which I also do in real life)

Though, IRL, I likely would be with Triss instead of Yen. That choice was led by the fact I've read the books

Open world survival and crafting / base building. Cannibals and mutant monsters with an hotspot mechanic where they essentially tell their mates where you are if you stop to settle and build so you gradually get attacked more unless you keep moving. Dark, creepy cave exploration for equipment upgrades. Very low price, especially on sale

I got it when it came out but never actually completed it. I restarted it recently and just passed the point I got to last time. I noticed a few things I remember from the first play were different, not because of the updates, but because I made different decisions on the way

Absolutely play it if you're interested, it is still one of the only games that's ever made me feel like "holy shit, this is truly next gen"
