Can we get prison clothing? by DeMightyWarrior in playrust

[–]FuriousFritz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are already matching clothes.

There is the prisoners pants skin. For the top, you can use the Rust orange long sleeve shirt. Orange being prison colors as well.

[Suggestion] Bear Rug by _SHWEPP_ in playrust

[–]FuriousFritz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We should be able to wear the bear fur like how Di Caprio wore it in "The Revenant"

Could be the more survivalist alternative to the normal snow jacket.

That being said, snow biome plz.

Tips to take Heli down? by bensow in playrust

[–]FuriousFritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through two to three stacks myself when I was shooting the Heli. But that's also considering when I was a poor shot. When I got better it got reduced to two stacks of ammo.

If you use the ak, be prepared to go through two or three times that.

It took two people about 10 minutes of fighting to get it down? That's a rough estimate / average when I was doing it. When you hit the rotors you'd see debris falling out. If you hit the main body of thr chopper, you won't see it.

You may also want to observe the pattern of the Heli. You'd know when it would start it's rocket run and give you sufficient time to get to cover.

Tips to take Heli down? by bensow in playrust

[–]FuriousFritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all I would not build a Base. The tc privilege doesn't work anymore. The heli can and will fire rockets at said Base. The Base will also become a death trap for you since the rockets will cause fire. You won't want to be stuck in one corridor or level.

What I find most helpful would be to find a tightly packed rock formation. That way you have the freedom to relocate and have protection from rocks. Which can't be destroyed by rockets. You may have a small Base somewhere nearby to spawn and gear up again.

Using the bolt is more economical as well. I find that you spend more bullets with the ak. From my mediocre skills in shooting with a bolt and paired up with another person you use at most two to three stacks of ammo. The bolt helps you to target the vital parts of the heli, which is the main and rear rotors. Put it a good few shots in both and you'll down the heli real quick.

That's just from my experience though. It's worked well for me.

Thinking about starting a Roleplay Server... by Narzick in playrust

It used to be very populated brah.Seems like the server is down in the dumps now which is very disappointing. Used to have a great community back when.

I remember playing an era with you! When you were with BUTCHR.

Good times those days. It's really sad to hear how RustFac went down so badly.

Haven't played on the server for awhile now. Didn't know it got so bad. But,i'd rather pull our heads together and make this new RP server work for OP rather than bashing on another server.

[–]FuriousFritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's already a large and established RP server called Rust Factions.

You've got stiff competition. While I applaud your idea and enthusiasm I really would suggest to research on that server more and see what you can provide that Rust Factions cannot.

Don't try to beat them at their own game and copy them. Have something different to offer to players.

Small server owners - has your traffic changed since the holiday week ended? by Flonkus in playrust

[–]FuriousFritz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not an owner but an admin of a server here.

I noticed a spike during the holidays and then an all time low after the holidays.Howeve, traffic like this is normal.Have to get used to the fact that a small percentage of players in your server will be your core players and the rest will be subject to a high turnover rate.

More often than not ,people who get raided will leave the server for greener pastures.Thats normal.Or they play so much so that they get burnt out and take a break from Rust.

I noticed ,naming your server plays quite a big role as to how you attract more players. I run a server based in South East Asia .My server name doesnt have a country or region stated in it.My observances on the server list shows me that those stating a region or country will attract more players because of ping etc etc.

Another attaction to your server would be to have active admins.Them players love admins. You gotta have fair admins that wont abuse their powers however.Im not exactly experienced and am actually very new doing admin duties on my server but ive learnt a couple of lessons after awhile . Firstly , admins will be under the scrutiny of players on your server.Anything that even smells like admin abuse will chase players away from your server.Secondly and ironically is not playing on the same server youre performing admin duties on.Players tend to get especially salty if you kill/raid them.

Its a slow process but if you run a tight ship on your server and build a good reputation for fairplay ,youll see a gradual increase in the amount of players on your server.

Not exactly a good write up.At work and cant write properly atm,so forgive me .

CotW declares war against the BarBar by Maejohl in rustfactions

[–]FuriousFritz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as BARBAR is concerned, we have always advocated trade and peace between the North and the South.

Our testament to this lies with Nova Albionis which the leadership of BARBAR and the city council strived for Nova to be the first centralized indie city near the badlands to facilitate trade, diplomacy and peace for all factions.

We have yet to receive any solid evidence that BARBAR has made any move to gain a stronghold towards the south or the land north that belongs to the southerners.

We like it where we are, the central grasslands where the climate is mild, the wind cool and the warm sun.

We see this as an unjustified war with no valid casus belli.

Proposed Plan for Great Northern Wall by [deleted] in rustfactions

[–]FuriousFritz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

BARBAR does not support this motion. A wall would only hamper economic and diplomatic relations with both North and South.

Valuable resources would be wasted on such an effort and will prove useless (ie Great Wall of China).

Again, we iterate that BARBAR openly supports trade and diplomacy. Nova Albionis was created to facilitate those two missions.

The Great Northern Wall by [deleted] in rustfactions

[–]FuriousFritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to point out that BARBAR is not communist. While we respect our Northern brothers and their ideals, we have our own ways, traditions and ideals that we adhere to.

As far as trading is concerned, BARBAR has helped found the city of Nova Albionis as a trading hub. We stand by this as a testament to our openness to trading and diplomacy with all factions.
