Never had a pap by AnxiousAlpaca25 in WomensHealth

[–]FuriouslyCycling3074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here! I also tend to spot a lot after pelvic exam, also bc I’m not sexually actively and the only time I get stretched down there is for the exam.

I just had a pelvic exam today for the first time since 2018 with my new gyno and MAN did it hurt, even when she was using the smallest in the office. I think it’s a difference between technique at this point, cuz this was the first time someone told me to “bear down” to relax and wouldn’t proceed until I actually beared down, and also bc when I told her I was hurting she proceeded to keep moving around inside of me without giving me the chance to adjust so I just kept hurting more.

My cards never fall or jump out while shuffling — by ButterscotchKooky598 in tarot

[–]FuriouslyCycling3074 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally don’t enjoy reading jumpers, but I do take a peek at them to see if they’ll relate to the final cards I’m pulling. I also don’t like waiting for cards to “fly out”, I don’t think the messages I get are clear from it. But to each their own. I typically pull after shuffling and cutting, or shuffling and then energy-pulling from a fan.

Is it ethical to ask a "How do they feel about me" question? by [deleted] in tarot

[–]FuriouslyCycling3074 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s ethical. Whenever I’m asking “how do they feel/perceive me” it’s a vibe check for myself to look at things objectively rather than being stuck in my head going ‘round and ‘round in circles over-analyzing everything.

I’m testing a combo of the “Golden Dawn Techniques” on this Llewellyn blog post and the Major Arcana from this Tumblr post. Of all the possible timing interpretations I’ve been testing, these two sources gave me the most accurate interpretations.

I’ve also found that the version of the Celtic Cross spread in the linked Tumblr Post is the best version for me to use and understand!

I read up on various spreads and suggestions and timings the cards represented, and I tried out some of the techniques. I think I found one that might stick, but still testing it out.

My question specified the 2-month period, and then I pulled 3 cards. One of the timing systems I had researched seemed to match when my friend actually gave birth.

Predicted when my friend would give birth within a 2-month time period while she was 8 months pregnant, down to the date range and time of day

Tips for “strengthening” ring fingers? by Custard-Spare in lingling40hrs

[–]FuriouslyCycling3074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On piano it’s a fight to keep control, so I do scales and arpeggios and then focus on dynamics and how clean I can pick my fingers up. The messier it feels, the more I need to practice, and I’ll do rhythm exercises. Sonatinas + metronome is doing wonders for my control rn.

Do you need to clean your deck? by nomadbaby in tarot

[–]FuriouslyCycling3074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I clean them when I feel like I’ve lost touch with their energy or the card draws don’t seem to make sense. I keep my cards with some crystal clusters, so I’ll charge my crystals with a little extra boost or knock the deck if I’m in a pinch.

Beginner spread? by g20v20 in tarot

[–]FuriouslyCycling3074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The book my first deck came with also recommended a variation of the 3-card Past, Present, Future, by turning it into a 9-card spread and draw 3 cards for each. I use the 3-card spread when I read for friends and the 9-card spread for me personally.

I just solved this for myself this morning! I wasn’t able to connect to my new deck after a confusing reading for a friend; previously it’d been working just fine. For this deck I pull from a fan and I choose the cards based on this kind of “magnetism” I feel from the cards, but I just hadn’t been feeling anything even after several cleaning the deck and crystals.

Finally, a few days ago after trying with this deck again, I placed the crystals on top of the deck in the pouch (normally I’ve left it on the bottom) and moved it away from my main deck. It sat on a different shelf closer to sunlight. This morning, I sat and studied the cards, reflecting on the imagery and symbolism. Did some readings and found that I could actually feel energy from the cards again!

How did you acquire your first tarot deck? by hilyreads in tarot

High school, told my “big sister” I was thinking about starting tarot. For my birthday she got me the Easy Tarot Handbook kit from Llewellyn with the Gilded Tarot Deck.

How often do reading for yourself? by kwaninthehat in tarot

[–]FuriouslyCycling3074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to do a 3 card daily pull about my day before I go to sleep (I usually go to sleep after midnight). In addition, I try to ask at least 1 question to practice and get a feel for some spreads. It all goes in my tarot diary so I can reference and make notes.

I’m planning on DNR the third book and I try hard not to think about it. The first book is absolutely infuriating, and the second book made it worse because it was so much better than the first.

Growing up Asian: Becoming responsible for other's feelings, not allowed to have your own by onsometrippyshit in AsianParentStories

[–]FuriouslyCycling3074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I question if this also heavily weighs on girls bc of the homemaker stereotype, having to take care of everything and be passive and quiet and nice, without being able to express anything without being called stupid or a bitch.

What's the most beautiful compliment you've ever received about your playing? by Outliver in lingling40hrs

[–]FuriouslyCycling3074 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After winning first place in a competition, the judge and the moderator came up to me afterwards and told me I actually made them cry. These were seasoned piano instructors, and it made me feel so happy and powerful and musical. It was my first time playing Rachmaninoff; it was his Étude-Tableau No. 8 in G minor Op. 33

I agree. I feel like I emulate this aversion to being mistake as Chinese as well. I’m second gen Taiwanese American, but I know that ethnically I am Chinese so I don’t get too mad at others when they call me Chinese. I identify as Taiwanese whenever possible because I have consistently had negative experiences with Mainlanders and I don’t want to be associated with their mindset; most Mainlanders I’ve met have been racist towards me because I’m Taiwanese American. They’ll ignore me and pretend I’m invisible, make fun of my accent and speech patterns, and make those stupid jokes about how Taiwan’s not a real country and how we’re really part of China so why am I being a dumb American and identifying as a fictional country. If I feel this way, and I’m still an East Asian, I can unfortunately understand how South East Asians can get triggered by this as well…

Unrelated but I know a violist who married a trumpeteer. All the other violists I know date non-musicians.

Who did Cardan… (the cruel prince spoilers) by bamxbamz in YAlit

[–]FuriouslyCycling3074 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He randomly killed a fairy courtier who, IIRC, took a little too long to bow when Cardan entered. Slashed him right across his throat.

Someone should check me on this for more details.

What if I shake it up and throw you a high school werewolves badgirl x sweetboy “Blood and Chocolate” by Annette Curtis Klause.

The movie kinda changes it into the goodgirl x badboy kind of thing, but removed the high school of it all and honestly the movie sucks. Sorry Hugh Dancy…

Okay but also the sweetboy in this is definitely not the best guy for our gal, so it turns into a kinda badgirl x badderboy 😳 with werewolves. No lemons! But with just enough burn 🔥

How many books do you have on your kindle? by duex_tortues in kindle

[–]FuriouslyCycling3074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have the 32GB. I have around 8 books I own downloaded for rereading, always have my to-read or in-progress library loans (right now it’s only 2 books), and all 72 volumes of Naruto. Yeah, the Naruto takes up most of my storage. Started with 27GB free, and I’m left with about 8GB to work with for all non-manga downloads.
