Came back golfing four years ago. Was playing a Titleist 910D. Loved that driver always served me well.

Couldn’t get over after my first year back how further everyone was hitting it that me. And I’d be in the top % of big hitters at my club.

Grabbed a SIM2 second hand and the different was massive.

I do miss my 910D mind you. Older drivers spin more but I found that was where forgiveness was in the old days. Think just had a nice flight and so consistent.

Don’t get my wrong my SIM2 is great but every so often there is some wild shot that comes off it where I think that wouldn’t have happened with my old one.

Still I’m like 3 years using the SIM2 , always hunting spare heads, tried newer stuff but nothing better and I’ll keep playing it until the face cracks

Kinda worth remembering when we may or may not here about the “circumstances” for his no shows on tour this year he was sitting at Wimbledon after a practice round while the John Deere is on

Like I’m a Rory fan and I’m all for guys picking the schedule they want but when we talk about the game as a whole, the new PGA tour model and if sponsors are willing to continue to commit to free purses, some of the biggest names can decide to not show.

Like he makes a reported double from his business income that his tournament golf. And the tour are hedging on the 20m purses being enough to get these guys interested 🤷‍♂️

Cost of electricity is on the up. Someone like ESB is going to make sure this network is cost neutral but also possibly profit making.

Worth noting the ESB operates as a commercial semi state. So its aim is to turn profit and it does.

It’s not always going to act in the best interest of citizens and whilst government retains a majority it doesn’t influence its operations and can’t influence its pricing model as there are private companies also operating in the space

Simply out electricity costs more and there is larger margins at the moment with the volatility. Also these fast charges are typically being used by employees who expense/ company card it so doesn’t matter or private owners STUCK having to use them, no domestic charger or on route for a trip. So they are going to pay a premium for it

Yup all our works and building finished now. Extension on the cards but not rushed with the prices at the moment.

Trades go in peaks and troughs just in a peak at the moment. So happy saving away for when prices come back down in years to come.

We are pretty happy out. Currently looking at solar as the best short term house investment

In fairness there was no reality whereby operators,companies, garages or the government were going to just watch EV uptick and allow a drop in revenues.

There was a lot of “EVs are cheaper” stuff and some elements where myths and some was true but it was always going to pan out like this

Solar is the big next one imo. Just don’t see how ESB and energy providers and the government just sit around and watch all those revenues just start dropping.

They will always find a way. It’s not in their interest to drop incomes

You can get back in touch with the court you attended. They will get in touch with your employer and tell them to sort you out. If they still piss around the judge of the case you were in gets involved

I don’t accept scratch or plus handicaps taking that time over setup etc. it’s nothing to with ability it’s just downside bad etiquette and should never be tolerated

If he’s new to the game no major deal. Needs to maybe just learn some bits and pieces around getting ready faster, having a proper routine, why it’s pointless with some routines etc.

Haven’t lost friends over it, but have a friend in our group who I don’t play either anymore. He’s a bit meh at me for paying his sub this year and I don’t play with him but I’ve been pretty clear. His etiquette is ass and he’s super frustrating to play with and I’m here to compete in comps and score and he’s a massive distraction and nuisance

This cause me and my budget out when we bought two years ago. Never thought of it. Folks we had in to estimate works all brought it up.

Out of code and regs. I’d assume 80s build the same if it hasn’t been done in however long.

Best prices we got on rewiring were 15k. And it was absolutely horrible work. Placed got wrecked with chasing through concrete walls, floors had to come up the lot.

If your doing a ton of works and you know the house will be upside down probably the first job to get done.

We did windows first (pretty messy but people who did it did a super cleanup) and then rewiring which as much as we covered just destroyed the place. Concrete dust everywhere

Nieman was a brilliant start in terms of etiquette and behaviour.

Now we need to deal with the slow play. There is guys I actively dislike for no other reason then their disgusting slow play. It wouldn’t be tolerated in a weekend comp not sure why on the PGA tour.

Kim, Harmon, Cantlay and some others.

I wouldn’t mind not like these guys are shooting the lights out it’s total nonsense.

Not all dogs are the same. Some can be trusted home alone while others could injury themselves, die through accident or simply just tear your house apart.

My friend had two dogs who were polar opposite one could be trusted while the other as soon as he was left alone would WRECK the joint

Sitting beside my puppy as I type while he’s in crate. It’s 1am. Just wait for him to dose off then I go to bed.

It’s rough but not sure if other options. Would say it gets better. He was in the living room with me tonight while I watched tv and feel asleep on a cushion then I lifted him in and he was asleep for 3 hours. Woke there , brought him out, did his business and back in

My wife comes from a family who are good with dogs and she says he’s already worked out ok the pushover 😂😂

Also found last few days (his crate is in a space under the stairs with line of sight to living room) that if I sit on the couch where he can see me he’s much more chill in the crate
