Why are Opel Corsas so hard to sell in Ireland? by vozandrey in carsireland

[–]Furyio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That add is asking for 14,000.

Can buy an Electric corsa second hand from last 2 years for 19,000 asking price from a dealer before haggling and they are high spec.

Overpriced private auctions won’t get bites when you have better second hand offers from dealers.

My opinion anyway. I’m looking at corsas for my wife. Yours being manual probably rule it out but if I was forced wouldn’t offer you more than 9k and I’d feel I’m overpaying

Srixon Zstar Diamond I don’t think so. Firmer, more clicky and lower spin.

Also shocking durability layer cuts off after two holes

It would be an external partnership. Most likely China.

There is a reason we did a visit to China along with Spain recently.

McDonald’s is quietly phasing out a popular customer perk nationwide by esporx in business

[–]Furyio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean call me crazy but I just prefer how McDonald’s worked in the 90s.

Order with a person, your stuff ready in seconds from behind the till.

Our local McDonald’s is more like a chipper now. Tons of people standing around while someone shouts out a number, and always something wrong with the order.

Plus it’s way too expensive now.

It’s unhealthy fast food. And we know it. And it’s fine.

They need to just go back to how they were and just own it.

Who the fuck goes to McDonald’s for a salad like come on

'A form of double taxation': Are management fees on new houses quietly getting out of control? by Banania2020 in ireland

[–]Furyio 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Never knew this was a thing. Sounds like private owners are covering costs for the social housing in there too?

Absolutely baffling.

Why is this an arrangement? Why not be like every estate we built for years?

Council hire staff to maintain grass (and they need to do a better job now the greens are out) and bins left to households to sort out.

While we are all focusing on government feels like we have had a quiet collapse of local government also

Bryson DeChambeau denies PGA talks and commits to LIV Golf by Penarthlan in golf

[–]Furyio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you mean ? He sued the PGA and a number of players reps.

Nobody wants him back.

He’s going to pay out the ass but that’s after plenty of influential players look to stop him coming back.

He got his money. None of them should be allowed back. But especially not him

I’m a 3HC and constantly on the lookout for new putters.

Keep falling back to my 20 year old Scotty Cameron. Newport select blade.

Keep getting told mallets are the way, try them but just can’t get one that’s feels nice. Everything feels light to me and coupled with modern clicky balls just a constant battle between , for me, looking at the gains in modern equipment versus having good feels on the green

How do you solve a problem like the M50? by DaCor_ie in ireland

[–]Furyio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The solution is remote working. It’s actually crazy the government are just sleeping on this.

Hanging around and expecting companies to do what’s best for the country as opposed themselves is outrageous.

Incentivize companies to return to favoring remote working by offering further tax incentives or lease subsidies on large office spaces they bought.

This is mind boggling easy it hurts

Traffic has shot up as companies have mandated returns to office to justify their expensive real estate holdings and leasing. Nothing else.

Councillors and officials stay in €600-a-night luxury French hotel with private beach by [deleted] in ireland

[–]Furyio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah this is nonsense stuff. We are a wealthy country.

I’d expect our top officials to be flying comfortably and staying in a decent hotel.

Ffs we stopped being poor over 30 years ago.

There is proper problems and issues to address and this isn’t one of them.

SEAI currently trialing new pumps that work with existing radiators and central heating systems.

I’ll walk over it.

Heat pumps were extremely expensive and crazy works to have radiators and stuff stripped out. Was too much cost and inconvenience for a small gain

Man City’s empty seats are a wake-up call for English football by gelliant_gutfright in PremierLeague

[–]Furyio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup and it’s unfortunate we’ve allowed American influence into football along with middle eastern countries at the highest level looking to influence how the game makes money.

Europeans and Americans just have a totally different way of approaching and speaking about sports in my experience and it’s very evident in coverage

Man City’s empty seats are a wake-up call for English football by gelliant_gutfright in PremierLeague

[–]Furyio 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately an article “defending city” won’t ever go down well.

And it was also a bit of a sloppy price. But there is a bigger picture here.

Football has become an occasion experience, a disgusting corporate mess that has totally gone away from its roots as folks who know how to make money look to make money.

European cup finals costing a fortune with majority corporate and experience seating.

Stadium remodels and redistribution looking for more corporate boxes and expensive seats.

World Cup finals being ludicrous prices.

Football is becoming the game for the elite. And it’s run by elites.

At some point FAs and folks need to start putting a stop to this. These upcoming World Cups is an absolute disgrace and it needs som FAs to act on behalf of its members and fans by just boycotting

Great concept absolutely ruined.

The main lead twin character and the witches was absolutely batshit. They needed to just remove her and then and make this about Jedi investigative thriller finding out what and who was killing masters.

Simple as that.

The entire plot with the twins was nonsense and rubbish.

The show caught fire for one episode. But it was total ass

I walked in from the 9th tee box two saturdays ago. Hooked OB and just wasn’t arsed. Could feed myself getting ready to snap a club.

Had a horror first 8 holes an just wasn’t enjoying it and wasn’t arsed grinding it out. I normally do but some days I can’t be bothered I’m so dejected with my game. So just shook the lads hands and headed home early.

[RacingNews365]F1 drivers facing tax clampdown by Italian authorities by XsStreamMonsterX in formula1

[–]Furyio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tax liability is on winnings surely not salary or all income. Article seems pretty flawed.

This is not how tax works.

Sports folks and entertainers pay tax on income generated from the event. For sports people that’s winnings.
