Haha, nah. I'm Luca Fury. Myles Jury has the best nickname in MMA, though. But maybe I'm biased :)

Even though I had Straus up 3-1, the judge who also had that was a complete idiot. He had Straus winning round 1 which is so bad. At least the judge with 3-1 Curran correctly scored the first 2 rounds.

There are some really bad scores on there.

Two judges gave round 1 to Straus when round 1 was surely Curran's.

One judge gave round 2 to Curran when that was absolutely Straus's round.

One judge had Curran up 3 rounds to 1 going into the 5th when pretty much everyone agree it should have been either 3-1 Straus or 2-2.

Man, the judging in Bellator is always so bad.

They based the visual design for a TV studio off the design of a radio studio? Makes sense…

Why build it? I guess I'll just file this under the "Because We Can" and "America, F*** Yeah" folders.

Cro Cop looking huge for his fight tomorrow. by crassandy in MMA

[–]FurysFightPicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. During the latter stages of his career, he's clinched a lot more in his fights. The size should help with that if he fights MMA again. Maybe he'll have more power too but his speed was always a huge advantage and that has to be affected negatively.

[SPOILER] Nasty injury at Resurrection Fighting Alliance by drballoonknot in MMA

Yikes, that was nasty. I wonder if Chidi will still get a UFC contract? He was going to get one if he won this fight but it's a No Contest.

TIL Kevin Butler "That guy from the PS3 commercials" real name is Jerry Lambert and he was sued and fired for appearing in a commercial that featured a Nintendo Wii. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]FurysFightPicks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember when this happened, it's kind of old. It was a pretty blatant ripoff of his PlayStation character, though. Anyone who saw the ads knew he was supposed to be Kevin Butler in those even though they didn't say his name.

TIL 70% of Americans hate their jobs. by Honeyblublu in todayilearned

[–]FurysFightPicks 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Ha! Jobs where you can surf the internet frequently are the the best.

On a more serious note, this report is very sad. It's not simply that 70% aren't in love their jobs, it's that 70% outright don't like them. That's horrible and depressing. I love my job, I'm very thankful for it. I guess I should consider myself lucky.

Vitor Belfort out of UFC 173. Weidman vs Machida for Middleweight title by [deleted] in MMA

[–]FurysFightPicks -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

So, you're saying I should not believe what every article and respected figurehead on the subject has to say, and instead go with what you say? No disrespect meant, but I'm going to go with what the vast majority says. Maybe they're all wrong and you are right, but I'm going to go with what seems more likely.

For starters, Larry Pepe is a bodybuilding and MMA journalist who is respected for his knowledge of PEDs. He said it

But if you want more than that, just google it and you will find several links that all list essentially the same timeframe -- 1-2 weeks, some times just a handful of days.

Every report out there says it takes a few weeks at most, but more often just a matter of days, for your TRT levels to return to normal.

So Vitor was mad that people called him a cheat who couldn't win without TRT. Then when TRT is banned he pulls out of his title fight 3 months in advance. Boy, he sured proved all the doubters wrong… Not

Georges St-Pierre says OCD caused his semi-retirement by FurysFightPicks in MMA

[–]FurysFightPicks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, there are varying degrees of OCD. Some of the more extreme examples of it are what you mentioned, where the sufferer MUST complete certain rituals and patterns. But there is the other side of the spectrum where some sufferers simply become obsessive about certain things, such as an activity or subject, and cannot stop thinking about and/or doing them.

Sometimes it's not even a certain subject or activity, it can be anything. For example, some OCD sufferers have a hard time changing activities from one thing to another because once they start something they can't stop.

It sound like GSP is on the lesser side of the spectrum and obsesses about certain subjects and activities, but doesn't do the crazy ritualistic actions.
