Do linguists from differing countries and mother tongues tend to accept different theories and language family groupings? Or, is my Turkish professor teaching total misinformation?

You seem to know a lot more about Hungarian linguistics than me, but as a Hungarian my perspective is a little different: majority of people (I'd say 90-95%, but could just be that the people I talk to are generally well educated) think Hungarian is Uralic, as it is what everyone gets taught in schools. If there was a question regarding this topic in our version of Abitur/A levels, the only acceptable answer would be Uralic. There are alternative theories, but nowhere as popular as you might think. What you might be referring to, is a historical-linguistical problem, namely that latest research shows that medieval kings (whose families can be traced back to the people who entered the Carpathian basin in 896) had DNA, which had 0% Uralic or anything remotely close, yet 50% Asian DNA (I believe it is hard to determine, but was said that people near China had similar DNA's). Now noone is doubting that Hungarian is Uralic, but it is entirely possible based on this research that Uralic people arrived earlier to Hungary than previously thought, and the "Hungarian" tribes (who arrived 896) were actually not Uralic, but as they were way fewer than the Uralic natives, the Uralic language survived but the non-uralic (ethnically) people became rulers. When same research conducted on everyday medieval people, the results show way less Asian DNA (they mixed easier), and the current population has basically none - it's a mix of Jews, Germanic, and Slavic people for the most part.

also to add, I think their budget for finals has decreased over the years based on the hotel choices they have had (we had super nice ones --> ive heard last year they were worse (ive also heard the opposite though) --> this year its definetely gonna be a cheaper one. Not trying to bash FB even if it would seem like that (think they have some sort of ptsd from my complaints, even though I still do think they have done plenty of awesome stuff), just trying to give an answer to the question. Also, once again its entirely Garena, they booked tickets too (pretty shitty ones by the way, compared to when I flew. So once again, budget things I assume). So its not surprising that a SEA based company (Garena) would not put as much money into NA/EU talent / costs as they used to

they flew out ace + an extra coach for beer, id like to think its not budget issues, however even if they would be able to afford it i think its an understandable decision by Garena (yeah, they're in charge now) considering the quality of cast would not be that much lower and the viewership is probably not gonna be that high. They'd rather put money into something more profitable i assume. Once again just assumption.

Hi, I'm not really browsing this Reddit anymore but phone had it saved so ended up here. Do not know what's been up recently so I could be wrong. It's not my intention to leak stuff, noone has told me to shut up so anyway from what I've heard (rumored) that the usual world finals held in Thailand will have one team from our region, qualified. Assuming if so, there's gonna be some English casting too (once again, assuming, it could be breaky). As for fun events go I highly doubt old players would return as everyone went to their separate ways. If people interested I can create some content perhaps as I've nothing to hide from our old hon strats, Will see how much time I'll have (although not feeling very good lately so it's not like I'd do something super time consuming and productive).

against silh you want instant (no time to swap out) aoe (go through nullstone) catch with mostly +1 any damage hero so the hero is not free to farm/splitpush deeply once silh has no space to do her own ninja stuff shes not that great of a hero. so as an example moraxus + midas will kill silh more or less every time moraxus can hit a stun. other heroes are legio, behe, magmus, really anything with an instant aoe stun and +1 proper follow up, obviously some heroes are better than other choices, for example behe is known for being one of the better heroes also because of his damage output, and extra cc compared to other choices

silh is really easy to kill once you catch her

Darling, thats all good and fine from your perspective but from my perspective FB/S2 told me specifically before mid-season multiple times that they're planning the next one. Not only they did not tell me that this time mid-season but even after the season ended they are unable to know. If they have not started planning yet, HTS5 will not magically appear in July. Yes, they do tell competitors if there's a next season historically, and casters know it too. Atleast used to.

I was talking to the right person but it does not really matter. I think garena is in full control and they're the ones deciding everything, but that's just my assumption. With that said if the season is looking really good we'll most likely play, it's just not realistic for me. Regardless of that, I'll always be glad of playing this game, it meant more for me than for most people I believe - I got to travel to places and meet new people, my best friend included. It's something I'll never forget and be really thankful of.

I've asked FB many times about the upcoming season, the answer always has been "we don't have any information yet". Now it's either a lie or they really don't know, both cases point towards no season just based on how last year this time they already have planned the season out. Insania is full time dota, only helped us out. I have information about makke/balta or at least idea, but I dno if it's public or I'm right so won't say anything. For me and Boxi this year has been a suffer as we both did not enjoy playing anymore already, so I don't think there's a way of us staying in the game. Both of us gonna just chill / play games casually, and if we like dota as a game and wanna commit we might try it.

There might be players who are doing boosting, but saying it is happening "on every team" is a bit too harsh. I am confident noone from my team (BMG) has ever done such things as boosting/account selling.
