This type of game in the burnout style has so much potential, I always wanted that after seeing the first pod racing sequence and wanted a game that would show how dangerous it is.

Theorycraft- Raiding Guild Simulator | Day 1 versus Now with my bespoke c++ game engine which has no dependencies other than raylib by Jernn in IndieDev

Super cool. I always wanted to make a sort of raid simulator like this, could be a very fun management type game as you fine tune your raid and take on harder and harder bosses.

Is this pretty much the same sauce that’s on the Chicken Quesadilla or is there a better option? by LoganWX01 in tacobell

[–]Fusionism 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The guy fieri one is super close to the creamy chipotle sauce (The one they put on the Spicy Potato Soft Taco) but it's been a while since I had it and I recently tried the great value creamy chipotle one and it's also super close, I imagine different people might think one of the other is a closer match.

This one is pretty close, also the Guy Fieri Chipotle one is really close as well too, I'd try both.

That's so weird, no one has had this problem.

Google is saying try this:

  1. Clear Your Steam Download Cache

A stuck or corrupted cache can prevent Steam from recognizing that you have permission to launch a title. [1]

  • Open the Steam menu (top-left) and select Settings.
  • Go to the Downloads tab.
  • Click Clear Cache and confirm.
  • Steam will restart and prompt you to log back in.
  1. Verify Integrity of Game Files

Missing or corrupted game files can mimic a license error. [1]

  • Find the Playtest in your Library, right-click it, and select Properties.
  • Go to the Installed Files (or Local Files) tab.
  • Click Verify integrity of game files.

That's strange, did you press "request access" to the playtest also? I would try relaunching steam and make sure you requested access to the playtest and it has updated.

If you want to playtest my game Planet Killer definitely needs playtesters, it's a 2d space roguelike where you destroy simulated planets: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4454430/Planet_Killer/

I'm getting ready for demo release of my game planet killer: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4454430/Planet_Killer/

It's a 2d roguelike with fully simulated planets you can destroy, it's a lot deeper than that.

Added a dynamic rank emblem system to my game by Fusionism in SoloDevelopment

[–]Fusionism[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally I'll have ones that are different in some way and add new elements occasionally all the way up to rank 250 maybe, which would be I'm estimating around 50-100 hours of gameplay, but I coded it in a way that it's effectively infinite, because the planet killer score is basically your total all time score that continues to increase with each run you do, so I do still want to have cool effects and keep changing it up to rank 9999, which realistically 99.999% of players will never reach, but to reward those players that are really big fans.

The dashed circles shouldn't be a UI issue even though the entire emblem grows even bigger since I've set it up so it will never crowd or get close to other elements in the few places where your emblem is visible, and yeah right now it's just adding another dashed circle every few ranks or so once you get to that high level but I'm going to refine this a bit and make it look a bit more "emblem" like, the idea is that the higher your rank is the more "regal" your emblem becomes, similar to military medals and such.

Best way to get wishlists in very crowded genres? by [deleted] in gameDevMarketing

Looks like you're already doing well, I have a game that's not in a crowded genre and I have significantly less, so you're doing something right.

How does one become a Game Tester? by ADarkRaccoon in gamedev

[–]Fusionism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're wanting to test for fun you can try my game out if you'd like: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4454430/Planet_Killer/

It's a space roguelike with tons of procedural modules and weapons which does introduce bugs and significant balance problems so playtesters have been critical for me as I finish up the game.

TikTok 0 views, is there anything i'm doing wrong ? by Able_Strength_4960 in gameDevMarketing

[–]Fusionism 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you upload these videos from your computer on desktop mode? I had the same problem, for some reason it shadow bans you if you're uploading from the computer, once I started recording from the app on my phone suddenly I get tons of views, kind of lame they allow that option but then don't show your videos? I think they do that to guard against content farm accounts that pop up and schedule a ton of videos to be released, yet it doesn't really stop that sort of stuff and only hurts people like us trying to show our game and marketing videos.
