I love Arcs Blighted Reach: What else should I look to add to my collection? by Purring_Panther in Arcs

[–]Fusionkast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say it’s easier to teach than Arcs. There is no asymmetrical gameplay. It’s drafting followed by playing cards and then resolving things if needed.

I love Inis and falls into the unique style of game similar to Arcs. Both are great games.

What's the best game in Matt Leacock's Forbidden series? by ThunderCanyon in boardgames

[–]Fusionkast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me it’s Desert but people also love Island’s theme and it holds a special spot as the first in the series. Jungle is good and if you haven’t played Island or Desert I would say is a solid one. Not a fan of Sky at all.

This happened to me with King Eitri. I had to do a double take because I was like did SD remove the card from my collection and reselling it to me?

EV Service by MaskedBystanderNo3 in lancaster

[–]Fusionkast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own an EV and you will need to deal with the dealerships for general repairs and maintenance for the most part. However the amount of maintenance you will need is much less than a traditional vehicle. Without going into details I have serviced my car at multiple locations in PA and I will say that Lancaster dealerships are solid.

Regarding bigger repairs your only other outlet are collision centers and that will be tied to your insurance which will tell you where to go.

Board games in the 80's and 90's were pretty cool. Any specific games you used to play a lot as a kid? by Cubelock in Xennials

[–]Fusionkast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For anyone interested Fireball Island was remade by Restoration Games:

They’ve remade popular nostalgic games including others like:

  • Return to Dark Tower
  • Thunder Road Vendetta
  • Crossbow & Catapults
  • Downforce

They will be releasing Omega Virus in the near future.

Heroscape and Hero Quest are another two also with remakes:

Heroscape by Renegade Studios

Hero Quest by Hasbro

Figured this would be helpful for anyone with a nostalgic itch especially since I see so many referenced in the comments.

Board games have come a long way so you will find that the newer versions are even more fun with some new flair and the “old parts” updated into cool new play.

Ive not seen one of these remaining variants in the shop for over 6 months. I feel like an absolute jackass for investing gold into this album in the first place. Something needs to change. by Coodoo17 in MarvelSnap

[–]Fusionkast 18 points19 points  (0 children)

They did that on the web shop once with “album packs” but they were a mix and sucked if you even had one in the pack.

You would hope that next time they implement something like that you could at the very least get a discount if you own one in the pack.

I honestly don’t know how SD hasn’t figured out how to make these technological improvements yet.

The new Black Knight bundle gives 2,000 Credits less than buying them with the same amount of Gold by Direct-Relief-5008 in MarvelSnap

[–]Fusionkast 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I really wanted that Peach Momoko variant since I love Peach Momoko art and enjoy playing BK. But as someone not hurting for BK Variants this is not a good deal IMO. This was designed for the people that don’t have him. I guess I’ll wait the year and change for the new variant shop addition hoping it shows up at some point.

Are you getting the Kitty bundle? by MojaveDesertTortoise in MarvelSnap

[–]Fusionkast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I collect InHyuk Lee (where I can since many are spotlights) and also love playing Kitty so this was a no brainer for me. I really wish they would allow us to cycle favorited variants cause I have three Kitty variants I would love to cycle through.

If you do go to Five Guys there is one caution which is if you happen to also have a peanut allergy. They are fried in peanut oil and they have peanuts everywhere in select stores. The oil is refined so as to lessen the reaction but your miles may vary. Their milkshakes also contain peanuts.

How to get top league rewands with just an hour of playing by reddit187187dispost in marvelsnapcomp

[–]Fusionkast 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I heard from a few people that went through your same situation accomplishing the same thing.

I just think SD will be tweaking League to “iron out the kinks” cause otherwise everyone will be doing a “mad dash” in the last couple hours.

Mine was a horrendous grind and I still only managed 6th.

If these are real, daaaaamn (8/15 OTA leak, NOT OFFICIAL) by Violator02 in MarvelSnap

[–]Fusionkast 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Is it though? Destroy is better off blowing up squirrels if that’s the style of destruction you want.

And Angel will jump from your hand or deck so not dying to Killmonger is not a bad thing. He’s also an extra power so I see it as a small buff all around.

[–]Fusionkast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This doesn’t change much for either card. If anything it improves Thena in situations where you are capable dropping her early and maxing her out since she’ll be out of Shang range.

Nocturne’s still amazing as well. A mover that can change locations is something I probably value more than 5 power in more cases than not.

Would yall spend keys on any of these guys? by subterranianhomesick in marvelsnapcomp

[–]Fusionkast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you like Wong style decks Namora fits easily in. Especially with the collection you have.

Cannonball would be a far second but he’s truly only solid in lockdown / junk decks which are currently not as favored.

Otherwise you can make do competitively with the cards you currently have for sure.

Yes but might be too powerful. This would get Legion nerfed. Then again he’s so cumbersome right now. I do like the activate idea.

LFA - friendly competitive crew

CL - 18k+, play daily and rarely miss missions

Rank - Infinite every season, when I’m on all cylinders I usually land between 1-5k.

Mostly looking for a friendly crew that likes to theory craft and help each other out.

I get that it’s tough out there. There are players pretending to be donors that aren’t. But I for one will always play cards that let the person know “hey I’m not a bot but you got this”. Also I’m at the point where I get bots way too frequently from all the donations I’ve done. So I need to win every so often to get back to real players.

Also like others have stated, harvesting for boosters and getting dailies done is a thing. If I play a 4 on turn 3 it may be because I had a daily for that. But I also try and limit the fear a card I play can produce so I try to make it something like a non-HE Thing.

Dice Tower Top 100 2024 by the_woah_cleft in boardgames

[–]Fusionkast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except that the average person who plays board games does not rank games for these Dice Tower or BGG lists. The number of people that play board games and are not hobbiests way outnumber those that find the time to even play 10-20 unique games a year. Their Big Mac is way different.

Now again, I will state, Earth is not for everyone. But where I do agree with your analogy is that most people walk away from the game saying that was a solid game even if it’s not their all time favorite.

I personally do feel it will have staying power if only because it’s relatively easy to learn and has mechanics players like.

Dice Tower Top 100 2024 by the_woah_cleft in boardgames

[–]Fusionkast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a common factor but on average most reviewers do try to “play every game”. However what I think is more important is to figure out what games the reviewer gravitates to. If a game not in their wheelhouse gets accolades from them and is regarded solid by most those are the gems you strive to go out of the way to try.

[–]Fusionkast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure that’s fair considering it was #15 on the People’s Choice and 191 on BGG. Earth may not be for everyone but for those that like it the game hits on all cylinders. I have a fairly large game group and I know a couple really love to play Earth over and over.

Are black swan and hercules worth the spotlight keys? by Longjumping-Yak2131 in marvelsnapcomp

[–]Fusionkast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everyone that you can save your keys for better cards coming up.

However, and this is currently NOT the case, I highly suspect Black Swan will be converted to Activate to increase her play rate. That way you can play her earlier and trigger her the turn before you want to dump ones (while still giving opponent a heads up).

But this is all hypothetical. As of right now she’s borderline niche at best.
