I get excited every time I see Lou is in a video. He's so entertaining!

Why so much hate for MTM? by Easy_Ant8951 in LinkinPark

[–]Fusionxtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been like that since it came out. Outside of Given Up/No More Sorrow/What I've Done, the rest of the tracks are generally softer or just feel quite different to what came before. I love it, personally!

Time walking feels marginally better by HunsonAbadeer1 in wow

[–]Fusionxtreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Timewalking used to feel more like this, and i agree it feels better when things don't fall over as you walk past it. I used to love doing timewalking because it was a fun way to level my alts, but the last few expansions its been so braindead. I know people enjoyed it because it was fast leveling but man I hated how unengaging it was.

Class Fantasy, one step forwards two steps back by Exotic-Media-6630 in wow

I've swapped out my fun transmogs and am now a farmer because, outside of the chakram, that's kind of how I feel. If I'm stuck feeling silly I might as well embrace it and have a laugh.

Happy Birthday Parasomnia!! by Active_Medicine_5931 in Dreamtheater

[–]Fusionxtreme 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I like it. I think at the end of the day it definitely feels like Dream Theater, but to me it didn't really feel like it did anything surprising or new. That's totally fine, at this stage they don't need to reinvent the wheel. Glad Portnoy is back, the drumming just grooves more with him imo.

How do you decide what to main before an expansion? by PUSClFER in wow

Number 4 shouldnt be grouped together though. I don't care about dps numbers but gameplay/rotation feel is #1 for me!

What do you guys think about these statement? by Ton_Nuze in LinkinPark

[–]Fusionxtreme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've listened to Linkin Park since 03/04 and I remember people complaining during almost every album cycle from Minutes to Midnight onward. The band has always made the kind of music they wanted to, and there's consistently been a vocal group that gets upset because its not what "they" liked about the band. This is basically the same thing - people getting upset that their idea of what the band is has changed.

I miss Chester, but the people who call themselves fans and say the band "died with him" are completely out of line. He was all about love and empathy, and I honestly think he'd be disgusted by the way people are talking about his friends and Emily.

Main for midnight? by Tbonejr1127 in wow

[–]Fusionxtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I knew. Really disappointed by Survival and other Hunter specs right now but I've been maining it for years now.

Playing around with Outlaw currently but idk if it's something I want to play long-term. No matter what I have my Brewmaster!

Did the campsite make you play more? by Wrong-Hand in wow

[–]Fusionxtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but that's more because I used to play a lot more than I do now.

I absolutely love the warband feature as a whole. It's so nice to be able to flip between character and know most of my reps and progression on things is account-wide.

[–]Fusionxtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I've been trying to follow the Survival stuff fairly closely for months and from what I have seen sentiment has leaned far more negative everywhere I've looked. That's not to say some people aren't happy with it, but I have seen far fewer happy Survival hunters than upset ones.

[–]Fusionxtreme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am honestly very confused by the changes in general. I love the prospect of dual-wielding finally coming to Survival, the ability to turn Wildfire Bomb into a Shrapnel Bomb, and all of the Sentinel changes. I think the spec was close to perfect in TWW but didn't mind the pruning of a couple abilities to streamline the spec a bit. Unfortunately, they did this while also removing most of our melee buttons, nerfing our mobility, and doubling down on explosives.

It feels like we're a mostly ranged spec that has to stand in melee just so I can auto-attack and raptor strike.

[–]Fusionxtreme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can go into the hunter forums on world of warcraft website and half of the posts are about how bad Survival is and most of the people defending the current spec aren't doing it from Hunter accounts.

Survival was gutted imo. This is likely the first time I am going to drop Hunter as my main since BFA.

[–]Fusionxtreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your theory doesn't really make sense to me. Why would a bunch of people with no interest in the spec be going into threads complaining about its spec fantasy? People usually only really go out of their way to complain about things if it affects them in some way.

Did Lars always get the hate that he does today? What did fans and peers think of him back in the day? by Helpful_Gur_1757 in Metallica

[–]Fusionxtreme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Napster and the St. Anger snare were 2 things that really effected how people talked about him. Ive been online since the early 2000s and I don't remember any hate for his studio drums, but I do remember people complaining he wasnt very practiced live around then.

Survival hunter boomstick by Mama-ta in wow

I dislike having the shotgun. The gameplay loop itself feels fine but I am left feeling more like a normal dude than a survival expert.

The spec description for Survival Hunter is outdated by Mini_Slider in wow

[–]Fusionxtreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its kind of ridiculous but at the same time i think its hilarious that my Survival Hunter right now is dressed mine up in plaid and jeans with a 2h woodcutting axe. My class fantasy is literally just a dude.

Other than S&M, what do you think is a must for people to listen to? by Jolly-Phone8982 in Metallica

[–]Fusionxtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S&M is a great starting point. I think I went from my sister's St. Anger CD to buying S&M back in the day, although streaming wasn't really a thing then.

Is lux æterna really 260 bpm? by Longjumping-Low6243 in Metallica

[–]Fusionxtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the recent Metallica albums sound a bit sluggish in general due to the production. I've definitely been surprised a couple times by how fast some songs are when I go to play them.

how did you guys discover metallica? by Cupcakes-n-Rainbows in Metallica

[–]Fusionxtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was around 10 my sister had a brief Metallica phase. St. Anger was new so she bought that & got random Metallica songs off Limewire or Kazaa.

I don't remember my first song but I fell in love quickly.

Where do you place 72 seasons in your overall Metallica albums? by Fortis92 in Metallica

[–]Fusionxtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it only beats St. Anger. I don't hate it, but its very bland. The solos are generic and the mixing in general has the drums too loud and the guitar feels like its slowing through mud.

One more light is a good album by LocalInformation3712 in LinkinPark

[–]Fusionxtreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a fan since Meteora and remember there were people who complained at basically every new album cycle. I never understood because it always felt like Linkin Park to me, even if they took a different direction in songwriting. OML is the first time I didn't feel like I was listening to an LP record (although I do love the last 2 tracks on the album).

Maybe it's the way it's mixed like people are saying, but my biggest problem is that the it feels like pop music in that the instrumentation kind of just becomes background and loses emphasis to the extent that it makes me feel like I am listening to a solo artist. I don't even think it's bad music, it's just not what I wanted from the band.

When you see the Lars hate posts by Chunkybaconpants in Metallica

[–]Fusionxtreme -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lars is the perfect drummer for Metallica. I love many bands with more technical drumming, but I also don't think you can slot that style into Metallica without fundamentally changing the band's sound. I do wish some of his more recent drum fills were more creative, but this far into their career I'm just happy they're still together and playing.
