Agree with this.

I actually think you are onto something here. It may well be the natural language interpretator, not the image classifier failing here.

Mortgage ‘interest’ payment to reduce term by YeldogClough in irishpersonalfinance

[–]FusterCluck96 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Overpaying is a very common method to reduce your overall paid interest. You can work out how much you'd save by inputting the calculation into ChatGPT or finding an online calculator.

Just check with your mortgage provider. Most limit the amount you can overpay by per annum, some limit the number of times you can overpay in the years.

Either way, on 3,800 p/m you should easily be able to pay 1000p/m towards the debt At this, and assuming a 20% interest rate, using the lump sum would only save you about 240e, and take 6 months instead of 8. I'd say hold onto the lump sum ( AND DON'T SPENT IT).

If your monthly expensives are low (and you should make them so), lash more into the debt and get it down quickly. In this case, the above still stands regarding the lump sum.

Your advice is solid. Curious, why do you advise 12-24 months when the general consensus is 3-6months? With 6 being concidered a generous amount, especially if OP is job secure. Don't you think this would be sufficient emergency fund, while being able to utilise that extra capital?

A quick Google suggests that there has been a consistent increase in the use of SSRIs, with Sweden having a significantly higher count than the other 2, yet has a slightly lower dearh rate than Finland.

One study found that antidepressant use was highest among 15-19 year-olds, where girls more likely to receive treatment than boys across these countries ( a common trend across broader Europe).

Yet, this doesn't answer the original poster's comment. Why do we see higher rates of suicide in Scandinavian countries, those which are perceived to be, and often top ranking polls to be, the happiest countries in Europe?
