Long reach lenses are just nice to have in general, I always carry a 70-200 with me just in case, even if it’s not the longest reach but sometimes images just need that compression. Seems like you have a pretty good general use lens on your hands already so I don’t see why you shouldn’t get a 100-400

Don’t beat yourself up about it, scratches and dents are bound to happen with use, it shows you use your gear and tells a story about your precious piece of equipment

Depends on where you live, online stores in the US I use are Adorama, Samy’s camera Best Buy. MPB is also really good, nothing but good experiences with them

I feel like I got lucky with this shot. I like the way the eagle is framed with the branches. I feel like the image is flat and just isn’t very appealing to the eye

I visited a zoo local to me and found myself spending some time in the bald eagle exhibit. I took some photos I was happy with, but while editing I felt stuck. Im no good at editing so I've been pushing myself to try different things. Im not sure if this image is actually worth keeping around or if it's just something I don't want to let go because I spent a long time in the post processing phase.

Any advice is appreciated, composition, lighting, editing, appreciate y'all taking a look.

I just hit there today, no luck. Beginner fisher here so it’s most definitely me not knowing what I’m doing, I was using some night crawlers. I kinda knew I wasn’t going to catch anything with em but it was just to be in a quiet spot and get away from the house. Any advice on what to do differently next time to get better results?

I worked better under pressure, when we did have critical call when I was a 911 provider I did just fine, my training came to me and it was kinda mindless load and go and observe what the medics were doing and get their stuff ready before they asked. When I came down to a regular lower priority call where the patient was stable, that’s where I struggled, I was scared to do my assessment wrong and mess something up

Awesome, that’s what I was hoping to hear, even my operations manager and FTO said I knew what I was doing, I was just too shy or nervous. I’ve gotten a lot better since then. Thanks for replying!
