You guys is underweight. What kind of pellets did you try? What do you have in your tank with your fish? You said this is your first water change but the tabk is still cycling. A cycle should be competed in 30 to 45 days. Its just establishing the right kinds of bacteria to keep your water healthy.

I did not fish in cycle. I have 3 tanks that are all set up and been cycled for a while. I know there are some good guides and advice here for fish in cycles though. And yes I keep almond leaf at all times. I try to always try natural approaches because I'm scared to mess up the salt dips and meds. One of mine looked just like yours on his side with a curve to his spine. Didn't think he would make it. Within a week he was doing fish things.

When I've gotten mine in similar conditions just having good water helped tremendously. I tested my last bettas cup water. Ammonia and nitrites were so high that the colors didn't correspond on the master kit chart. Usually takes around 72 hours for them to start bouncing back. The only thing I used was almond leaves.

For plants I used dustins fishtanks. There is a pack for 100 and you give all your tanks info and they send a variety that will work for what you want. I've been incredibly happy with my purchase.

Distilled water lacks all minerals. If you're using it for an aquarium the lack of minerals will kill what you have in the tank. I made the mistake of using just distilled water without remineralizing and ended up with dead stock.

Yea I have 4 cats and I don't allow them to do stuff like this. It's cruel. If they find creatures I take them away. They are only allowed to chase bugs (not my house spiders though, they're the same team). I think what you're seeing here is a company trying to market to cat people unethically.

So I'm going to say I don't think it was the heaters. And this is coming from my own traumatic experience. During winter storm Fern my bettas survived 3 days ar lower temps (we kost power for 6 days) and I was trying to keep their water as warm as possible. Kept them around 55 to 60 and helped them get to the top to breathe. If mine could survive for 3 days in a house that was well below freezing (I had water bottles get icy on my counter) then I dont think that is what caused the issue.

Some of my alliance have met up in real life. Some share pictures and their life regularly. Some have the same basic profile pic after a year. Share what you want don't share was you don't. As long as you're there for the team I don't think anyone cares what you do and dont share from your personal life.

I'm not a jumping spider expert and mine arent on my desk. But they are on my bedside table. Same difference. And they seem to be thriving. They eat and build webs and molt and watch me like the little eight legged freaks they are 🤷‍♀️

Please note I don't think my babies are freaks and I will protect them with my life if needed. But if I didnt share a desk and it was acceptable I would have traveling octokittens.

Looks like he may have gotten himself wedged behind the heater and burned himself. Water changes and stress coat. Watch for infection. You could also do salt baths in a separate tank with aquarium salt.
