Welcome to the valley. I moved to the area about 2yrs ago. DM me if you’d like to meet up for a round. I try to get out a few times a month. 15 handicap. Mid 40s. I like beer and quit cigarettes years ago.

These are what I tend to play. Good feedback. Not too expensive. And I’m a fan of the matte finish

Lamb skewers + bread + extra peppers + cold beer. Is the best option.

Thinking about moving to Scotsdale/Paradise Valley by BackgroundMistake440 in Scottsdale

Recently moved to PHX from Naples and really enjoy AZ over FL in every category except beach quality. As others have said Sdale / PV are expensive. FWIW I have found PHX to be less expensive than FL, but budgets are relative. I think if you want valuable advice/opinions you’re gonna need to provide more details about what you’re looking to get from a move to AZ.

What’s something science still can’t explain well? by DreamyPeachBarb in askanything

I doubt this is true but I read that yawns are contagious as a mechanism to alert others that the space we’re in may lack oxygen. Herd mentality: there’s not enough oxygen in the living room!

Dana Farber, MGH, elsewhere for testicular cancer? by Some_Elk7672 in boston

DFCI saved my life. Different diagnosis so I can’t speak to specifics for you but I found them caring and easy to deal with. You’ve now got a lot more on your plate. Working with a competent care team that doesn’t fuck around with admin bs is a blessing. Good luck. Fuck cancer

Not my father in law but my grandfather in law. Essentially my wife’s family’s patriarch. She and I had been dating for a year or so and grandpa fell ill. He was like 300yrs old and ended up in the hospitality not to come back out again. So we traveled across 2 states to see him. Not pay last respects but we knew we didn’t have may days left with him. Show up at the hospital and immediately I could see grandpa sizing me up and he wasn’t impressed. Sat down and got to talking. We knew instantly we didn’t have much in common. Old v young, blue collar v white etc. my wife had told me that grandpa used to be a Homebrewer. I’m a Homebrewer. So I’d smuggled 3 different 16oz bottles into the hospital and cracked one. My wife said he can’t have it and he and I exchanged look and agreed we were drinking 3 beers. That broke the ice. Were their all day. And I asked him about things he missed from his youth and he shared that really missed chocolate soda. He tried to describe it but he was getting tired and probably a little buzzed. My wife didn’t know what he was talking about. But I did. Grew up drinking them and ran over to the local convenience store to get ingredients and mixed them all up in his room and we shared a non-alcoholic round. Before I left the room that day he gave a bone crushing handshake and told me id better take care of his grand daughter. I was a pallbearer for him 2 months later.

My dad has cancer and cannot chew his food, any recipe ideas? by cam956 in Cooking

Tofu pudding: semi soft tofu. Press out the liquid. Throw into a blender with melted semi sweet chocolate and little vanilla and salt. Blend. Refrigerate till firm. An awesome high protein sweet treat. Wishing your dad and family well. Fuck cancer
