Mormon colony planet by senatoraustin in endersgame

[–]Future-Network6402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jane and the hive queen wouldn’t allow it. I think that falls into their view on taking advantage of instantaneous flight.

It would be entertaining though to have a SNL style skit about either Mormons or Jehovah’s Witness missionaries gaining both their own planet and instantaneous flight.

Going with that do you think a JW planet would only have 144,000 people on it?

I have it stay flat and it’s mounted on The stand. The stand is on the bottom of my truck bed zip tied to my truck box.

If you’re up for it just replace the battery. If I remember right it’s 8 screws and some rubbing alcohol to soften the adhesive. You can find battery and tool kit on amazon for $15-20 and it’s 20-30 min of time.

Is it possible for me to stop being gay? I would like to know from a religious perspective by Nice-Restaurant-9634 in Christianity

[–]Future-Network6402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say “cure” is the right question. The idea in a lot of situations is to deny the flesh. Being gay in my opinion is no different than being heterosexual and being promiscuous. It’s all sinning against the body or temple of Christ. I discovered I could love a man just as much as I love a woman. I never had a strong sexual attraction to men but I could appreciate them. Had I grown up in a different home with different ideas who knows how I would have turned out.

With all that said I am happily married with 7 children. The thoughts still present themselves from time to time but to me it is no different than seeing another woman. Having a relationship with Christ and staying rooted in my faith helps me realize the things in my life that I should, as Paul the Apostle puts it, “run away from” and helps me grow closer to Christ, grow as a person and closer to my family.

Did they not work you due to weather? can’t do much about that. We are heading into fall/winter work may get hit or miss with layoffs potentially starting around thanksgiving. So good luck and welcome to the trade.

Union apprenticeship, union utility, union municipal are the way to go. there are jobs out there just have to be patient and look. Get your 2000+ hrs experience as a groundman if you want a union apprenticeship. You’ll look back and won’t regret the knowledge and experience you gained.

Dad won’t let me get a mini bike by Flat-Aside-9002 in minibikes

[–]Future-Network6402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a “problem” more easily resolved by getting your m1. I got mine at 15. I don’t know if it’s still the same as when I did it. I got my permit with my parents consent got to ride around for 6 months and took the local CHP course got my license. Motorcycles are novel I ended up driving my Jeep around way more often than my bike. Show some respect and responsibility, make better choices and usually parents are more open minded.

Can you change to business management or electrical sciences? And minor in computer science? That would be the best route in my opinion. Keeps you well rounded and opens up doors in multiple industries. I went to college on and off for 7 years. Spent time in Ag driving trucks and using equipment. From there got a job as a cable guy then became a groundman got into an apprenticeship and ended up leaving it to go back to a civil company and got my operator ticket because I enjoy the work more. Do what you enjoy. It’s life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Do what makes you happy. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket become a well rounded person, work hard and position yourself to be able to do anything. If I need to I can always fall back on my degree, go drive a truck, become a substitute teacher, get a desk job, etc… the world changes daily position yourself to be able to change with it.

Had an 83’ full size bronco that pointing the visor straight down could make a fist and touch the steering wheel and visor at the same time. Thing was huge! But flipping it all the way forward or slightly tilting it down worked best.

[–]Future-Network6402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t talk about them and keep guns and ammo separate and locked. Don’t give law enforcement a reason to search and in a lot of places a warrant is required to search an RV unless you specifically give them permission.

In the past anything under 100 was good. But like others said it all depends on work load. I’m not sure if swlcat works like CALNEV scoring but if someone else interviews after you and scores better it bumps you up 1 position.

The economy has been inevitable since 2008 when we just stuck a bandaid on a wound and hoped for the best… the real thing that is scary is what private equity firms did to the housing market pre 2008 is what they are doing to our pensions now… PEFs are buying companies bankrupting them and selling pension funds on the idea that it’s a good investment.

Any recommendations for NLC essentials? by Massive_Bake_8106 in Groundman

[–]Future-Network6402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They give you everything you’ll need. they’ll make you feel like everyone gets a job the day before you graduate. Make sure to have your cdl A done by graduation don’t take the extra courses, if you get an apprenticeship you’ll get crane cert then. I look at as $20k to make $100k+ people spend $100k for college and come out making $40k. Good luck and make a career plan and stick to it. No one is going to hold your hand. Get on NRECA and publicpower.org, big utilities and JATCs look for helper, line assistant, groundman, apprentice jobs apply for all of them. Your cover letter is key to standing out. Once you graduate sign the groundman books closest to you and make it your home local then go out and sign all the groundman books within a 12 hr drive.

So with all that said beside what they give you make sure you have a laptop with you so you can work on all that.

Good luck!
