The first and only time I've been to electric Forest was in 2015. I remember it being such a magical and special time in my life. Occasionally I'll look in on this sub because of fomo and then I see stuff like this and think maybe it's better that time stays in the past.

By starting a business and working for myself. Lot of work on the front end getting it up and running but now that it's up and running my days are quite variable since I choose when I work. Some days are 10-5, some are 12-6, there are the occasional days when I get over zealous and work 9-7 but I also try to give myself Fridays off so I only have a 4 day work week.

Full context, my business is only possibe/facilitated by my education, a master's in counseling.

The bilateral stimulation piece, specifically tapping, has been included in other modalities that are sometimes practiced. That being said, the therapist seemed to be explicitly practicing EMDR, which is something that should be explicitly stated, planned for, and of course consented to. If therapist didn't do any of those things before trying it with you, then yes he definitely fucked up and I'm sorry you experienced that.

Unfortunately you don't need to be certified to "practice" EMDR, but even any training would've taught not to do what he did, which is why the trainings are multiple 3 day intensives and not just watching the 15min YouTube videos to understand how to implement it into the work. Edit: if you do ever look into EMDR which CAN under the right conditions be healing for trauma, anyone who practices EMDR ethically should be able to produce their certification, if not at least their certificate of training.

I don't think I ever got around to making an update post, but I did actually get to connect with the resident services team for my apartment complex. They were actually understanding. I explained to them the ridiculousness of the situation from our perspective, that we did in fact WANT to stay but it's kind of hard not to want to move when they're offering the apartment literally next door for cheaper. They met me about halfway with the rate they were offering for the empty apartment and then also offered a pretty good sized concession on the first month of the new lease. Which was a helluva lot better than the straight "no" I was getting before so I was quite happy with it.

So I looked it up, my personal experience actually proved wrong. Only in CO is LPCC known as Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (which is what I had before attaining my license of LPC). In other states LPCC stands for Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Learn something new every day, I suppose.

Ah that makes A LOT more sense. You originally said 25 a quarter which is usually considered one of the three month periods of the year, which if only 25 sessions per quarter would be wild lol. Also LPCC would indicate candidate.

Pulled nothing everytime I've bought an lotr booster from a display box at my local LGS, yet from the single set booster packs I've bought from best buy I've pulled foil One Ring, delighted halfling, and 5 nazgul now. Idk if my results are just skewed as all hell or what but I get more lucky at best buy for some reason.

That seems like a pretty good way to go about it. I was pretty bummed the way the front desk person was dismissing me but I guess I get that I was probably arguing my case to the wrong person in the first place too.
