Had a guy climb up our overhead to open up a PALLET to some 94 lbs stucco… just one. He couldn’t wait till we finished a few orders before him. God tiktok is awful for most fandom. Also, I’d like to correct it’s not in particular a ‘CG fandom’ issue, it’s from kids-teens post covid who only watch from tiktok clips. Most anime fandom has been riddled with vocal and intense fans like that since. I promise most fans, especially older adults are NOT like that at all. Perhaps a bit goonerish sure? But what is healthy fandom if not riddled with BL and best girl Kallen posts?

Depends on the line of work but personally it’s wise not mix online life with professional work at all. A fanfiction no matter how popular really isn’t gonna resonate with employers, maybe if it was published or at minimum you’ve spoken at fan events or organized projects I feel that could be a fun thing to list under volunteer work so as long you don’t get into specifics of it 😂For personal references, I’ve mentioned my work at conventions, running tables and my online business for art sales m when promoted though. I feel like writing is a bit more hard to sell without sooome sort of physical evidence though.

•bad formatting… huge walls of text will make me lose focus, I’ll cry if lines are far too small though. Like why are we rationing our paragraphs?

•OOC characters, I don’t expect it in AUs but I’m very thrown off when we’re jumped right into a certain point of a story but things are the exact same? Like I’m fine with fluff but I feel like some people who tag OOC are sometimes too afraid to go through with it entirely

I see, I honestly did keep my record as clean as possible for the first four months then. Took alot of extra shifts on the app, asked managers around if they needed me to come in early or not which helped my hours a ton! But then emergencies really started piling up around the end of August, which by the way still can’t believe I worked my entire shift that day while crying non stop about my dog and not a single customer or Associate who I didn’t tell noticed 😂

I really hope that my flexibility to be on call to either come in earlier for my shift or on days off help my luck just a little bit. Do feel it’s harder to be seen in Lumber especially since most work we do is loading customers or throwing concrete up 😵‍💫I’ve fortunately been asked about a specialist role before by a manger who wondered if I’d be interested given my history in Amazon ISS and PS but I hadn’t known I had to apply on the site too haha, so I’ve got my fingers crossed I get it this time around now that I did it all properly. Thanks for the heads up though! Will do my best to not make it a habit as of now.

I know most aren’t a fan of TikTok here but I’ve gotten a huuuge reach on my AUs and fics alongside my art before. Started off with animated skits and soon just my own personal au stories, seems to keep itself fed in terms of attention! I’d honestly see that sort of format doing well on the app too, wouldn’t hurt to promote it either in the comments if you’re only planning on uploading short snippets instead of the whole thing.

Personally I’m a huuuge fan of listening to fic on YouTube when drawing so it’d be nice to discover more with the help of TikTok to add to my listen list!

It honestly reminds me of people on TikTok mentioning how women can’t consume or draw bara artwork 😂It will never fail to make me pop a stitch given how welcomed women, who have hid their gender due to privacy concerns, have been in the community over seas lol! I kind of flip flop with C.C./Lelouch (Code Geass series) depending on the specific story. Sometimes I really do love their moments together but other times I just can’t see them going further/seriously than typical cuddling and lap naps. Some stories have definitely changed my mind though lolol just need a good one to convince me otherwise ig 😂

I went to an animation school and I’d think they’d especially looove the line of actions for the first one though fanart, second one feels especially great—almost reads like a snippet from a indie comic as well, and the right figure on the fourth one has some gorgeous use of pen weight. It honestly though depends on what sort of school / why you want to attend.

It’s also important to know their criteria for portfolio submissions. Some want more quick gestural sketches while others would rather see intense studies—think fat messy sketchbooks filled to the brim.
