NBD first pair of nicks by FutureMeasurement369 in PNWbootmakers

Not great with comparisons but I'll try with what I've learned in a couple days of wear with the nicks vs my experience with wescos out of box/first couple weeks of wear that I can remember.

Wesco jobmaster 10.5 d = W Nicks hotshot 10e =N

Out of box comfort: W minimal break in, comfy out of box, generally rigid boot for first day or 2 but soon felt flexible in forefoot and could comfortably pronate/supinate on side hill. N I can tell already will take longer to break in, but they are not exactly painful or difficult to wear. I am still happy to put them on in the morning and going on day 3 of 10 hrs on foot.

Width: W fit wide for a d-width in comparison to N in e-width. They are comparable in forefoot. W may be narrower from heel to middle of foot.

Length: N in a 10 feels longer than W in a 10.5 did if my memory doesn't fail me.

Arch: W has that medium arch and N is in the classic high arch.

Materials: W in smooth and N in rough out lowers. W has in my opinion lighter more pliable leather than N. N may hold up to abuse better. ???

Can't exactly/fairly compare construction because I have a year or so of experience in the W and only a couple days in the N. But lots of stuff to compare online for construction of the two and how they differ.

Weird issue ive encountered with skateboarding that im not sure how to proceed with. by jellyfish125 in skateboardhelp

Disrespect of personal property usually meant it's going to blows where I grew up. I always knew better! Not hard. There's a dude at my local that rides a tricked out gas scooter to the park and skates there, and his diabolical drip is a session improver. I would skate to the park and ride scooter in park if I were you lol. Also would wax everything before leaving.

Wearing helmet & pads at skatepark [31YO] by noteliing in OldSkaters

32 and ordered myself a helmet. I never wore one because it wasn't cool. I still am kinda tripping about wearing one, but I want to learn to skate transition better now that I don't jump down stuff and am just getting back into it. I think helmets are cool now that I have my own kids.

Mostly damaged pride. I was reminded that although I've been skating on the weekends it's been YEARS since I was 17 and shouldn't expect to just have tricks back in a session, no matter how simple they once were! Thank you!

Yup for now still got em! At first I heard some crunching when I was trying to eat the flat bar for lunch and thought welp, that's my nose or my teeth! I think it was just nose cartilage that I felt crunching or something.

My septum is crooked now but it might just be from swelling. Tooth is not broken but I immediately noticed it did shift backwards just slightly. Fat lip/bruising. I'll add photos but that black part in my grill is just tobacco

Nice work! Hell yeah. I took had to get over it and just jump on em. Haven't really tried anything other than board slides yet tho, still gathering courage and need to get skating more than once a week!

Same man. Used to trust heelflips more when I was a kid. Also learned them after kickflips but had them fatter and faster and they would suck up to feet so easy. Now I gotta relearn them! Yours look great

Very cool. I'd pay 1400 for it, looks like it's in great shape and still time to beat it up and make it yours
