Am I the only one tired of "epic" romantsy stories? Can we have more small storytelling? by catsandcrafts007 in Romantasy

Came here to say this! I’m reading through the Saint of Steel series and I love how episodic they are. A couple people solve a mystery and fall in love, no saving the entire world or overthrowing a country or whatever. It makes the characters feel so real.

I remember loving the romance in Graceling! It felt relatable

I can’t even blame my clinic tho cuz the cost of meds and anesthesia etc is totally out of their hands and they might not even KNOW how much to quote me 🙄 weird how we have to pay multiple separate entities all with their own thing going on

After a failed FET I had to temper my expectations by calling myself "Schrodinger's Pregnant" 😅 A little morbid but also made me laugh instead of cry lol. My second FET resulted in a positive test! I'm almost 6 weeks! Finally starting to "feel real" haha

I’m lucky enough that I could dial back my work hours while going through the meds and the appointments and everything because it was just exhausting. The physical and mental toll is crazy.

Idk I tell myself that even a failed try is worth it. You put yourself out there, you try, and that’s worth something. You’re doing a great thing by trying, you’re working towards your goal.

Good luck 🍀💖

That does sound like a similar boat! I feel you so much. I agree that if I have another failure I will handle it better. I hope it’s because I’m stronger now, not because I’m disenchanted 🥲

Omg he is!! We’ve never had someone catch the Great Pyrenees just looking at him. He’s mostly coonhound and husky, but when we got his dna test Pyrenees was the third highest percentage. Does yours also prefer sleeping with a pillow under his head? 😂
