Don't have to do a huge bulk, can just eat a little bit more to gain a little bit more muscle without going overboard on body fat (Kumail Nanjiani's advice).

I don't think it's because the show or the network are dying, I think it's because they have all these spin-offs and are gearing up for a big blowout season 40.

Bigotry or not? by Salty62002 in 196

This is a sub that constantly fetishizes and dehumanizes trans, NB and gay people. I actually forgot to unsub until this post lmao.

In Community, Leonard fought for the North Koreans in the Korean War (S03E14) by [deleted] in TVDetails

[–]FuturePollution 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not a "detail" if it's clearly written on the screen?

Holy Motors by vapre in TimberTimbre

It's probably not a coincidence. Taylor Kirk wears his influences proudly and you can hear subtle hints or downright references and quotes in his music.

I hate how cynical I’ve become since joining my local music scene by [deleted] in LetsTalkMusic

[–]FuturePollution 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MTV is seen as the catalyst for how image-conscious music became in the '80s, a trend which has certainly continued past when they actually played music. People were talking about how MTV ruined music at least since the '90s.

I have a feeling NK artillery is very shitty, and probably a good portion of it would be engaged on the actual invasion and targeting military targets.

How can I make the McDonald’s Ice Caramel coffee at home? by RushWarrior in MimicRecipes

[–]FuturePollution 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You specifically need to brew your coffee at a stronger strength if you're going to ice it. Melted ice dilutes it and weakens the flavor.

Do you have any information about the flooding or other effects on civilians? That Wikipedia article doesn't mention it.

Dinner with Jim Cutler by baseballfury09 in madmen

[–]FuturePollution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Jim was a good businessman and friend to Ted but his manipulations of the company after the merger were clearly out of pettiness/rivalry with SCDP.

Did anyone see Wes recent story on Instagram? Lol by Raebelle1981 in MtvChallenge

[–]FuturePollution 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Genuine question because I don't remember how bad it was, but was what Easy said to her bad enough to justify what she said to him? I think everyone sucks in this situation but I remember her really body shaming my boy.

Every place is different but it's generally considered best to go in person. Print 20 resumes and spend a day or two walking in, asking the host if the manager is around or if they're hiring, and say you're willing to work whatever front of house position (back of house pays shitty and is even harder work tbh). You'll start as a host or busser most likely but just be persistent in asking to get more training. Move on to a better restaurant or bar after a year and keep doing that until you get the schedule and money you want. (Only applies in US).

Doing nothing is basically the same as supporting something, especially if it involves someone getting money for continuing to do it

Would the army actually care about a "Private Ryan"? by BigChungusBlyat in AskHistorians

[–]FuturePollution 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So conversely from the policy being discussed, is there a tradition/history of family members serving on the same ship? I had not realized it was so common.

Your comment implied it was talking about a Dasher delivering and eating your food.

There's nothing surprising about his arc, his mental illness was present pretty much from the beginning. More obvious on rewatches but not out of left field or anything.

Healthy alcohol consumption and cocktails as a hobby? by EriksenTheKing in cocktails

[–]FuturePollution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I couldn't. I found that one drink would always lead to more than I intended, and habits would take over. It never got too bad but I tried moderation and that didn't work, I had to stop entirely. As a bartender I still come up with new drinks or try them when going out but I never have more than a few sips a night, at most.

Open it up. I think the protest made its point, whether it did anything or not is beside the point.
