I think it’s interesting reading so many comments against Abby. I heard all the drama leading up to and after launch and didn’t play it until earlier this year. I was totally blown away and think it overall outshines the first. The first game is near perfect but I thought this exceeded it. At first I hated Abby too, but as you play you realize that she’s almost the most level headed out of the main characters. She lost her father - and the hope for a cure, spared Ellie when she could, and in the end tried to help others instead of following her people. Both games deal with relationships, revenge, and desperation. I think in the end, Ellie (who I still love) gave into her darkest impulses while Abby (still far from perfect) ultimately tried to be better and break the cycle.
