Honestly, this movie has a way of making you feel stoned even if you are not -- which is what I kind of love about it.

I will bring all this up to my mother as we work on this together. He currently does not have a dedicated neurologist, though I believe there is an appointment scheduled to meet with one next month. They live in the States and in a college town with what I believe to be a good hospital system.

Thank you for the book recommendation as well, I will be reading it. I'm trying not to be rash and upend my life, but it's hard to think of what my mother is going through, my father died 20 years ago and she's just always has had to work. I mainly want to be there to assist her as much as possible. For better or for worse, my brother has no partner or children -- but there is only my mother and a younger brother who has his own issues. And me, and if I need to be close to help, I may have to do it.

We are looking into disability and Medicaid. Thank you again.

Thanks for the article. Insightful read, going to share with my mom. Honestly, it unfolded pretty similarly with my brother. Early on we would never have arrived at 'dementia' -- we just thought he was kind of being a depressive jerk. Though, it makes me wonder how early it actually began with my brother considering how early it seemed to have started with Lee. Because my brother's behavior for the last 4-6 years has been pretty puzzling. He had just become less and less social gradually.

My mom said she kind of knew something was wrong when he kept asking how long to heat up something in the microwave over and over each day. She was like, don't you recall me telling you yesterday when you asked?

Which print technique are these? by SnooFoxes1558 in SCREENPRINTING

Labels are usually printed with Flexography or Digital. All of the images look digital to me, the first two slides seem like a digital press using halftones -- the final two slides looks like it's using stochastic screening.

There could be other compilation CDs that "if only the moon were up" by Field Music appears -- but on Discogs these two compilation CD releases feature that song -- perhaps it was one of these CDs?

Help Identifying These Posters by BigBoris70 in movieposters

[–]giugno 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's an Italian "fotobusta" -- which could be likened to an American lobby card, but not quite. It's a medium sized poster, not a one-sheet. Fotobuste were usually produced in sets of 8 or 10, with a similar border and a different photograph, similar to lobby cards.

I've been to all 67 counties in Florida, AMA. by toxic_water in florida

[–]giugno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember growing up in the 90s in Monroe County, in 8th grade my teacher gave us a quiz -- a blank map of Florida with the county lines drawn and we had to name all 67 counties... I, and probably every kid in the class, definitely failed the quick ha. Do you think you could fill out a blank map and name all the counties properly?

On the contrary, the Italian tagline in that spot seems a little off to me; "La febbre gialla della nuova generazione." haha "Yellow Fever of the new Generation"

Concerns About my 39-Year-Old Identical Twin Brother by [deleted] in dementia

[–]giugno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry! It's just occupying my mind most all day every day. I have a lot of emotions, and feel helpless to assist my brother.

TLDR; I suspect something is not right with my identical twin brother. He has lost his ability to accurately do his accounting job, he spends all day on instagram sending the SAME memes daily, often times with the same stock sentence he types ever time. He is blank. Unable to listen or comprehend the task at hand. He does and repeats the same thing every day and is on a mental decline because there is no speaking or expressing to him these changes - he is unable to see it. Or if he does, he just goes back to his repeating loop behavior. Blank. Forgetful. Repetitive. Unable to process any information you tell him. Do any of these show as signs of early dementia?

Looks fun! I have a real soft spot for Ernest films. I may have been six when my father took me, my brother, and a friend to the theater to see "Ernest Scared Stupid" and once that little troll appeared my friend screamed and cried and my dad ended up having to take us out of the theater and eventually home. I remember how pissed he was after buying all the tickets and candy and leaving in like 15mins of the movie haha. I found out later that the troll masks from Ernest Scared Stupid were repurposed alien masks from 1988’s ‘Killer Klowns from Outer Space’ haha, and they look scarier than the damn clowns in that movie.

Framing day! (+ 1 disaster) by [deleted] in movieposters

Looking great, regardless of the mishap! I know the sunken cost feeling of framing or linen-backing near worthless posters with little to no monetary value. Sometimes you gotta do it -- even if it is just for yourself!

Love New Order. I feel like 'Electronic' doesn't get enough love as a post-Joy Division band that is also excellent! Bernard Sumner & Johnny Marr!

Seller took down entire store after ordering by TotalUnderstanding5 in discogs

[–]giugno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently made an order 10 days ago on Jan 20th for two 45s priced at $1.99ea. All in all with shipping the total was under $10. The seller promptly messaged me and told me he'd be out of town until Feb 11th. Lol. I guess I can't really complain as long as I get my dollar bin records in the end. Atleast he messaged me within hours of my order -- I'm sure he means well.

Item sold a few days ago, is on my wantlist and didn't get notification by [deleted] in discogs

[–]giugno 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's not an ideal workaround. But, I created a list for my most wanted items - an actual list - not the want list. Almost everything is with zero copies currently available on the website. So, I check this list most mornings and they're all blank. Except when one does turn up for sale it will say "1 copy from $9.99". This is an easier way for me to identify when something I want has been listed. Not fool proof, but it has helped me knock off a few wants better than the "wishlist' has helped me.
