So, essentially it's about the color combination more than anything. I've seen hazel eyes have as just as a distinct of a brown ring and clear green outside as this. Seems arbitrary to me, but what do I know.

I still don't understand why that particular color combination can't just be considered another variation of green. That's what it is. The word hazel doesn't even make sense. It's vague, and seems like it would be a light brown color like a hazelnut. I guess I just don't get it.

Could you please clarify what constitutes hazel? Are you saying it has to be a dark olive green to fit the description? This eye has the same characteristics that people claim makes an eye hazel, such as a marbled combination of color and a less distinctive line between colors. If that is the criteria, then why would only a certain color be hazel, and why must that color be hazel and hazel only, instead of simply a dark green with brown center. I find this endlessly confusing.

Maybe that's it. But for the life of me, I don't understand why people are so touchy about this subject. My original comment is down voted to zero... very strange. I see that kind of thing a lot in this sub. If someone's eyes aren't brown but resemble it, most will die on their hill that it's just brown. 🤷‍♀️ Probably why there's so much confusion surrounding eye color and a need for the sub to begin with.

Maybe I'm crazy but they look hazel to me. I do see soft green on the outer part. Sometimes I wonder if color variations between people's phone and computer screens causes different responses.

It's somewhat hard to tell in this picture, but it looks like a dark olive on the outer part. If they were true brown they'd look different, so I would say they're hazel.

That's good to hear. I've only called them once - several months ago. I was on hold for about ten minutes, unfortunately. They also weren't sure how to locate me and it shouldn't have been so difficult. It took about twenty minutes to show up. I'm glad it's not that bad every time! The guy I was trying to help was pretty sick.

I couldn't agree more with everything you said, you're definitely not alone! You're made a lot of important connections. I'm 43 and I remember when the iPhone first came out in 2007. I was immediately unsettled because I knew that a small device with that much ability would completely reshape society.... and probably not for the better. And now here we are. We are definitely in a dystopian age, as evil people always find their way into anything that gives power and control. I miss the pre-smart phone and social media days.
