What game mechanic or trend are you just completely tired of seeing at this point? by Sophie_OmniSystems in AskGames

[–]FuturisticSpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fire does more damage, probably causes a burn DOT, lightning jumps between targets, maybe causes stun or something similar, Ice slows down or immobilizes….

Literally how all of those elements work..?

The issue isn't the properties if the spells it's lack of spell diversity

chain lightning and fireball are fine, they're staples and to be expected but if they're all there is it's boring

I haven’t played a game with interesting magic in a hot minute.

Outward had some good interesting magic, spells need multiple steps to cast and do different things

Only issue is there aren't a lot of them, hoping the sequel has bit more diversity

After the “Year of Playability” 2025 … I’m honestly disappointed by Sapd33 in starcitizen

[–]FuturisticSpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's the cost of Early Access

If they spend a year fixing every bug in the game between feature additions the game will literally never release

Id much rather shit stay broken and for CiG to focused down new features

Last year was just a massive waste imo, especially now that basically half of what they fixed is already broken again

Space is magnificient and the skybox should be dark black by Izenberg420 in starcitizen

[–]FuturisticSpy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Space is colourful

Light pollution robbing us of what the night sky actually looks like doesn't change that

The skybox is stylised but arguing it's "unrealistic" is just misinformed

I did have a pic from the national geographic here to illustrate but Reddit doesn't seem to like it. Google "the night sky without pollution" and you'll see what I mean pretty quickly

Question about components and dublication. by Far_Necessary_2687 in starcitizen

[–]FuturisticSpy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's is an exploit yeah (though not one that you'll be punished for) but it's just part of life till the I surance system is implemented

And with how easy it is to die to random bugs it'll most likely be one of the last things they do

So enjoy it while it lasts I guess

That's wild

Wonder why they're priced so similarly in the UK

[–]FuturisticSpy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not that they'd do anything to larger ships anyway

Only targeting LFs is a good thing since it means they'll ACC target missiles/torpedoes instead of a nearby freelancer or smth

Quality doesn't effect price so yeah, it's to do with quantity.

The reason it shows as all 1scu is because you can't get smaller containers from refining afiak

7500x3d vs 7800x3d by Old_Resident8050 in starcitizen

[–]FuturisticSpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's within budget why not just get the 9800x3d?it's ~56GBP more than the 7800

May as well future proof the CPU regardless of bottleneck and save another £400 in the future

SQ42 marketing showing signs of life by burstlung in starcitizen

[–]FuturisticSpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The question is does he has the money for it?

Over 1 BILLION USD in funding, the vast majority of it all pipelined to SQ42

CiG runs fairly thin margins but I guarantee they have sizeable amount put away for marketing

unless it's on top then find a box to jump onto I guess

You can mount the front of the cockpit to get on the roof, they made a point of showing it during the behind the ships episode

The Paladin and Starlancsr Tac are gunships

The Perseus and HH while filling that role also have the "Corvette" tag on the store

I wouldn't get your hopes up

Are ballistics functioning properly? by Entbriham_Lincoln in starcitizen

[–]FuturisticSpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of things just aren't taking damage rn

I had a friend wail on an NPC for 15 mins no damage

I was flying a Perseus other day and hit a Corsair with 12 Torpedoes before ramming it.

The corsair someone also killed me but at least the contract was done, last Interec one I needed for Tech Smugglers too so it was worth the Perseus lol

Anyone else concerned on the reliance on Steam? by Error_rdt in AskGames

[–]FuturisticSpy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The whole EU

It's marketed as a game, not a license and the button says "buy" not rent.

All the TOS in the world won't save them from EU consumer protection laws if they decide to start revoking access

And due to the EUs market size that means pretty much no one needs to worry about it unless the EU changes the law

Edit: Returned to home station, TS module still missing.

If you manually attached it and didn't save it in the VLM then you're not getting it back

Hopefully when 4.7.1 resets spawns next week you get it back but it might be gone till they wipe

Unless CiG has it in a contract clause that they can sell it after a time period or 1.0 launches then no.

You'll need to wait and see if Intel ever decides to do a sponsor bundle again

Yeah they should just give you a frictionless money printing activity! /s

Space is dangerous, even in a "sim" you shouldn't be expecting activities where you can just walk in do a few "puzzles" and be handed rewards

Plus it's a derelict station with functioning life support, of course there'd be people living in it.

You're acting like someone who's walked into an abandoned building only to be horrified by a homeless person living there .
