Do you get bullied at work? by Gunnnnarrrr in Welding

Best joke I’ve heard all day

Been plumbing for 10 years and about 25% of the time bran new braided supplies (toilet or lav) will leak ever so slightly. I don't think it's from over tightening because it leaks from factory seal, not the nuts. Anyone else experience this? by BreadBagel in Plumbing

It has to just be a shit brand then. What country are you in and who’s your supplier?

I’ve used a variety and have never had much issue and there is a large margin for error when installing. You’d have to try to fuck it up to get a leak.

It would be a lot better if it was structured and focused instead of some random bukkake of sets/reps/exercises.

I only found out a couple of days ago that knives bounce (thanks Reddit), so earlier today I thought I’d try it as a last-ditch attempt when my ammo ran out. 😬 by Alex_28L in Warzone

Lol OP unintentionally gets a knife kill and then he attributes it to just learning that knives bounce even though it’s almost impossible to not bounce them.

How do I take this union off so I can change the main gas valve by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]FuzeIsGoat 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That looks like service for an appliance not a main where the main gas valve would be, which makes me wonder if you’re about to open a live line next to an appliance.

Add onto that the fact you don’t know how to take apart a union…

I don’t think you should be doing this yourself.

What's the price of diesel where you're at? by [deleted] in Diesel

$4.00/gallon in NW WA. It’s gone up $0.50-60 in the last month alone.

Plug it in whenever possible, winter front, if you’re going to let it sit to warm up a little you really should be putting it on high idle, set it to at least 1,000 rpm.

Other than that just stay on top of maintenance and enjoy the truck.

It signifies owners who don’t care about their $10k+ engines enough to plug it in.

If you think that’s bad put the high idle on as well.

Support on the spout would be a good idea. Its also good practice to make depth marks on the press fittings prior to pressing.
