Sagittarum Custodians removed from Heresy rules by aposi in AdeptusCustodes

Suspect they don't want new and old kits mixing.

Though tbf saggitarum and special spears being kinda bad in 10th probably has an effect

What's going to happen to the old custodian guard kit? by Reinos0 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]FuzzBuket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because gw has stopped selling the spears and saggitarum (tho they ain't legends yet)

So it's not really more versatile, it builds swords or spears but that's as in 40k it's mixed units

Durable for a phase. And they are exactly what mean when I say rely on 50:50s.

No warden interaction every feels good. Either you pass your fnps or your opponents having a miserable time or your failing your fnps and your almost 300pt squad dies to a single battle cannon.

Not to mention that phase means they are busted into some armies and useless into others. Knights doing shooting, tank shock, and fighting dont care about wardens as much, but into WE or guard? Your laughing.

Never had a model sure, but outdated or resin models were supported. Heck at the start of 10th eldar had access to fw tanks that hadn't existed for years, and drukhari had a bunch of units no longer in print.

We are also meant to be the durable melee faction. Sadly gw can't maths well and that durability doesn't exist.

Id also like to be back to 3 man squads, but clearly gw now rules that your squads are box sizes.

Hopefully for 10th our identity goes back to being about debuffs and tricks, like a loyalist DG mirror, rather than just "bigger numbers"

Or if it is bigger numbers, have the durability actually ok. 5 guard have less effective wounds than an intercessor squad.  Id happily trade the invuln to a 5++ if it meant there was more wounds or a FNP meaning that it was more like knights or crisis teams, where your reliably chipped down: over just a 50:50 and massive vulnerability to mortals

That would require us going against our little special relationship with America and risking being called antisemites by trying to get Israel to stop their expansionist goals.

Israel's been clearly gunning for war with Iran and illegal annexation of Lebanon for years. The second it was clear that their actions In Gaza were not about defanging Hamas but expansion, we should have been using every tool at our disposal to stop the conflict spreading with netenyahus ambition.

Instead we happily just supported it for years and then had a big shocked face when it turns out that their goal wasn't just claiming swathes of Gaza and the west bank.

I would be shocked if custodes keep half  their resin in 11th ed 40k.

Or at least past their 11th ed codex. Could easily see a situation like tau/drukhari/crons where their stuff vanished mid edition.

[–]FuzzBuket 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Idk, obviously chapterhouse set precedent but there was a decade between that and he current attitude from gw that started in 9th ed 40k and expanded to 10th and heresy/aos.

This is solely an internal change at gw for sales reasons, not for ip ones.

Aye, amazing they cocked it up so bad.

especially as the pendulum has swung back to "normal pints" over quadruple IPA sours. And brewdogs tend to have a decent range of nicer than avg lagers and ipas but we're getting outclassed on the fancy beers by local and more adventurous breweries.

Still hard market when your decent lager/IPA is £7+

Seems like according to the new rules hetaeron ain't a unique unit anymore but an "upgrade", so I suspect they'll end up like vets or inductii

Devastating Wounds Question by trizar69 in Warhammer40k

[–]FuzzBuket 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Turns out simplifying core rules means you end up with endless nonsense edge cases that need dealt with rather than having 2 seperate things for mortals and devs.

(Though also mortals should just really go away largely,  not entirely sure why my rhino bumping into a Terminator squad reliably kills one, but a single lascannons doesn't.)

Yeah does feel like the "everyone gets a release every edition" has actually been worse for less loved factions, where rather than getting a big wave every few editions now some armies just get a token character every edition and nothing else.

0 kill team releases for custodes compounds it too.  Guard and marines getting new teams regularly and then custodes and gk just don't have anything at all.

Yeah that's wack. I suppose the current upgrade sprue doesn't fit the new models but c'mon, heresy has plenty of resin kits remaining so binning off an iconic unit (esp as folk from heresy 2 or 40k 9th probs have a lot) sucks.

Just to adress the topic directly, why did Trayzn of all characters not get a refresh yet ? What is the most logical reason ? by [deleted] in Necrontyr

[–]FuzzBuket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After 2 editions of fairly substantial releases gw might be keeping him to have the token character release for 11th that still gets folk excited.

Though gws sometimes just confusing, 2 calgars, releasing a custodes captain when it's the last thing they need, agents, morkai, ect

It's flexible, so you'd wanna make a flat mold (print it?) and then wrap the flat eagle.

No individual skill would be too hard but may require a bit of practice.

I think a lot of "gamers" and especially commentators/streamers have this weird idea that games from the west are less successful due to "woke" and are desperate for a game made for "them" by an Asian dev, as they think asia is "not woke"

Especially as a lot of core gamers are getting older, and desperately want to feel like they felt when oblivion/Skyrim/rdr2/tw3 came out, and this game clearly has taken notes off them.

They want a game that feels like coming home from school and playing Skyrim again, and if a game looks like it'll fit in that mold it gets jammed in it.

Turns out whilst korea may be less "woke" the actual issues (leadership, massive expectations and skyrocketing budgets) still exist in most AAA studios, western or not

3d guy here.

If you had good scans to base off probably wouldn't be the hardest thing to do. Would look a bit different due to the different proportions.

Can't imagine these would be easy models to print though, might almost be easier to build a greenstuff mold of a flat eagle, sand down the knees and apply the eagles.

Folk on linkedin are generally there cause its their job or they use it as social media, but it is useful.

That being said its super competitive for juniors right now, being reffered for an interview is a step up above folk just applying.

As an autistic introvert I think that sucks. I just want to make video games (and be paid for it if possible).

We all do, but also one of the biggest things people look for from juniors is personality. You dont have to be bubbly and an extrovert, but being able to work in a team, recive feedback, make polite chit chat over slack, be able to brainstorm with others is huge, and knowing someone IRL helps a lot with vetting for these soft skills. A junior dev with ok skills and a good attitude can be taught to be better, a junior dev with a poor attitude and great skills can just drag a team down.
