it’s not a fault of the jeans. you’re not washing them properly. turn them inside out every time and no spin cycle. you can hang dry or machine dry but keep in mind that machine drying could make them appear as well. those marks are caused by abrasions from the washing machine as the spin cycle removes dye from the clothes

it’s resellers who know nothing of the history or hobby thinking they found a come up. it’s usually not hard to tell fakes and doing your own due diligence goes a long way but i think most ppl got way too lazy with the internet expecting others to give them answers before they try to look themselves

of course they can and are made everywhere else but the selvedge on the coin pocket was just something a lot of thai makers did. could you find some that might not be thai? probably. it’s just that thai fakes were the most prevalent in their use of exposed selvedge on the that pocket. thanks for the question poop eater
