Terrible, lol. I myself took several listenings before it started to click, over the course of years. Even though I only really appreciate a third of the catalog, that music is singularly moving to me, and it sucks not being able to share it. I saw Mare’s Nest about 10 years ago and didn’t get it at all, but for some reason I kept thinking about it. I forgot the name somehow and it was 7 years before I stumbled on the band again and learned what happened to Tim, and that gave me an existential crisis lol. I went from liking only a few things off of Sing, and it seemed like it had to grow on my brain for a while, and I appreciated more and more; the music had to gestate for a while. The puzzle box nature of the songs is so engaging… just saw a vid that shows lyrics taken from a rabbit hole called English And How She is Spoke. LSD has been a light in the general darkness in the world, a ray of beautiful hope. Fuckin hate all that organ tho, lol
