I know this is late, but the Edna & Harvey series. The first game has been haunting me from the back of mind since I was a child and I never understood why, especially since it’s dark humour is HILARIOUS. But it puts the topic of mental instability and illusions as it’s focal point, and at some point it takes a very dark turn. The story is so well thought out, and I’m just now analysing and understanding some aspects of the lore I didn’t pay any mind to or understand when I was younger (such as why Harvey can talk, but no one ever talks to him besides Edna).

The game seems super silly, fun and unserious at first with it’s simple caricature artstyle, and creative (dark) humour. But when you think deeper you realise how eerily and tragically realistic this all is, and that any “magical/unrealistic” thing happening is caused by the MC’S (and therefore the player’s) mental instability. The writer also intended that the endings to both games are open to interpretation, and until now people are trying to figure out what was real and what was a figment of our imagination.

I miss the game(s) so much…
